Count the days that matter
A date is easier to plan around when you know how far away it is. Use this calculator for a trip, renewal, birthday, appointment or a deadline you want to keep in view. The start date begins with today in your browser; you can change it to compare any two calendar dates.
The result counts calendar boundaries between the dates. From Monday to Tuesday is one day. Two matching dates give zero. If the target is earlier than the start, the result says how many days it was before that date. It does not count both endpoints as extra days.
Calendar days are different from working days
Weekends and holidays are included. This is a simple calendar-day calculation, not a business-day, filing-deadline or holiday-rule calculator. If an institution has supplied a due date, use that date rather than asking this tool to determine the rule behind it.
The calculation uses the dates themselves, so a daylight-saving change does not turn a calendar day into a fractional result. It does not use a particular hour, set an alarm or send a reminder. Both dates stay in this browser and are not uploaded by this tool.
Keep more than one date in sight
For a quick comparison, you can keep changing either date here. For several ongoing dates, explore Days Until: Countdown or Deadline Countdown. Days Until keeps important events visible; Deadline Countdown groups upcoming and overdue obligations. Their current Apple listings show the available devices, download price and optional purchases. The calculator above remains free to use independently.
