Snap & Folder

Snap & Folder: Photo Files

Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Snap & Folder: Photo Files ("Snap & Folder" or the "app"), provided by Myworkingmemory LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Snap & Folder is a camera-first utility app for useful photos you need to find again. It allows you to capture photos, import selected existing photos using Apple's photo picker, file photos into folders, add notes, generate thumbnails, recognize text inside images using local on-device OCR, search filed photos, move photos between folders, share individual photos, export selected photos, and optionally save a copy of new camera captures to Apple Photos.

Snap & Folder is not a general photo gallery, social photo app, Apple Photos replacement, cloud backup service, legal records system, medical records system, financial records system, or guaranteed archival storage service.

Subscription Required for Access

Access to the app requires an active subscription, an active free trial, or a valid App Store entitlement linked to your Apple Account. The app does not offer a permanent free tier. If you do not have an active entitlement, you will not be able to use the app's features.

If your subscription expires or is cancelled, the app may restrict access to its features until you restore or purchase an active entitlement. Local app data may remain on your device unless you delete the app or iOS removes the data according to normal system behavior, but access to that data through the app may require an active entitlement.

Subscriptions and Free Trial

The app offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. At launch, the intended United States prices are $1.99 per month and $14 per year. New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. Apple determines free trial eligibility and displays the final purchase terms, including price, currency, trial length, subscription duration, and renewal terms, before you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings under Subscriptions.

Prices, currency, taxes, free trial eligibility, and availability may vary by country or region and are shown by Apple before purchase. Apple may change pricing or availability in accordance with its own policies and applicable law.

Restoring Purchases

If you reinstall the app or use it on another of your devices, you can use Restore Purchases in the app to restore an existing active subscription. Restore Purchases works through the Apple Account currently associated with App Store purchases on the device and relies on Apple's services and your Apple Account purchase history. We do not manage Apple Account switching or account linking.

Billing, Refunds, and Cancellations

All subscription billing, refunds, and cancellations are handled by Apple, not by us. We do not have the ability to issue refunds, modify billing, or change your subscription on your behalf. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple, typically through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Local Storage and Backups

Snap & Folder stores full-size images, thumbnails, notes, folders, recognized text, and related metadata locally on your device. Snap & Folder does not operate a server that stores your photo library.

Photos saved only inside Snap & Folder may be deleted if you delete the app. Device loss, device damage, operating system behavior, insufficient storage, file system errors, failed exports, failed saves, or accidental deletion may also result in data loss. You are responsible for exporting or otherwise backing up important photos and folders.

Snap & Folder includes export and system sharing features to help you create copies outside the app. Once you export, share, or save content outside Snap & Folder, that content is governed by the destination you choose.

Camera, Import, and Photos Copies

Snap & Folder uses the camera only for photo capture inside the app. The app uses Apple's PhotosPicker for selected photo imports and does not require broad photo library access for simple imports.

If you turn on "Save a copy to Photos," new camera captures are also saved to Apple Photos using add-only Photos access. This optional Photos copy is a convenience feature and depends on iOS, Photos permission, available storage, and Apple Photos behavior. Snap & Folder does not guarantee that a Photos copy will always be created. If a Photos copy fails, the app may still save the filed copy inside Snap & Folder.

Photos stored in Apple Photos may sync through iCloud Photos or other Apple services depending on your device settings. We do not operate, maintain, or guarantee Apple Photos, iCloud Photos, iCloud storage, or other Apple services.

OCR and Search Are Not Guaranteed

Snap & Folder uses local on-device OCR to recognize text inside saved images. OCR quality depends on image clarity, lighting, angle, language, handwriting, image resolution, and Apple's Vision framework. OCR may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable.

Search is provided as a convenience for finding filed photos by folder, note, recognized text, and date-related information. Search results may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should not rely on OCR or search as the only way to find critical information.

Not Legal, Medical, Financial, or Safety-Critical Advice

Snap & Folder may be useful for receipts, documents, labels, medicine bottles, car information, home projects, warranty details, parking spots, work records, shopping ideas, serial numbers, and everyday proof. However, the app does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, insurance, compliance, or professional advice.

The app is not a regulated recordkeeping system and does not guarantee that any photo, note, export, timestamp, OCR text, or metadata will satisfy legal, tax, insurance, workplace, medical, evidentiary, or compliance requirements. For important records, keep originals and use any required official recordkeeping process.

You should not rely on Snap & Folder for emergencies, safety-critical decisions, medical decisions, legal deadlines, compliance deadlines, or any situation where data loss, missed search results, delayed access, or inaccurate OCR could cause harm.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the photos and notes you save, the folders you create, the accuracy of any information you enter, the content you choose to export or share, and your device settings, including camera permission, Photos permission, storage, Apple Account, subscriptions, iCloud Photos, and backups.

You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose, not to store or share content that you do not have the right to store or share, not to attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the app, and not to use the app in a way that violates Apple's App Store terms or applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The app, including its design, code, branding, name, icon, and related materials, is owned by Myworkingmemory LLC or its licensors. You receive a personal, limited, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the app or any part of it except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.

Third-Party and Apple Services

The app relies on Apple platform services, including StoreKit, camera APIs, PhotosPicker, optional Photos saving, local device storage, system sharing, Files-related workflows, and Apple's Vision framework. Those services are provided by Apple and may change, fail, become unavailable, or behave differently based on your device, operating system, settings, region, Apple Account, available storage, and Apple's policies.

Your use of the app may also be subject to Apple's App Store terms and any applicable Apple license terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, available, compatible with all devices or operating system versions, or that any data stored in or through the app will be preserved, searchable, exportable, admissible, accurate, or recoverable.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Myworkingmemory LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the app, including any damages resulting from failed captures, failed saves, failed Photos copies, OCR errors, incomplete search results, export failures, sharing mistakes, device loss, subscription access loss, or data loss.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by canceling your subscription through Apple and deleting the app from your device. We may suspend, remove, or limit access to the app or its services where permitted if these Terms are violated, if required by law, if required by Apple, or if the app is discontinued.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, unless applicable law requires a different venue.
