File Photos in Real Time Privacy Policy

Myworkingmemory LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides File Photos in Real Time (the “App”) for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. This Policy explains what the App processes, what may leave your device, and your choices.
1. Product and purchase
The App is a paid-upfront App Store download. It has no subscription, free trial, in-app purchase, paywall, or Company account. Apple processes App Store purchases, redownloads, refunds, Family Sharing eligibility, and regional availability under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Company does not receive your full payment-card number.
2. Content processed locally
Depending on how you use the App, it may process locally and, where applicable, store the following inside its local application container:
- photos you capture on iPhone or iPad;
- image files or selected photos you choose to import;
- full-size local image copies and generated thumbnails;
- folder names, icons, colors, order, and membership;
- notes, favorite status, deletion status, and timestamps;
- text recognized inside images by Apple’s on-device Vision framework;
- image source, dimensions, file size, and dates used to organize the library;
- search text and filters while you use them; and
- App settings, including analytics preference, onboarding state, and the optional iPhone or iPad setting to save a camera copy to Photos.
This content is used to capture or import, file, browse, search, favorite, move, export, restore, and delete your photos. Company does not receive, host, read, index, analyze, sell, or use this content through ordinary App use.
3. Local storage and separate device libraries
Each installation stores its own library. The App does not provide Company-operated cloud sync, iCloud database sync, an account-based backup, shared albums, or collaboration. Buying or downloading the App on another supported device does not transfer your photos, folders, notes, or recognized text to that device.
Full-size App images and metadata may be copied by an Apple device backup, migration, computer backup, Time Machine, or another backup tool according to your system and service settings. Only the optional separate copy saved to Apple Photos may sync through iCloud Photos. Company does not operate or inspect those services and cannot guarantee a backup, migration, or restore.
4. iPhone and iPad camera and Photos features
On iPhone and iPad, the App requests camera permission so you can take still photos. It does not record video or request microphone access. You may change camera permission in system Settings.
For import, the App uses Apple’s photo picker so you can choose specific images without granting broad access to the full Photos library. If you turn on Save a copy to Photos, the App requests add-only Photos access and attempts to add a copy of each new camera capture to Apple Photos. Imported photos already came from your chosen source, so the App does not create another Photos copy for them.
Apple Photos and iCloud Photos are Apple services governed by Apple’s policies. Company cannot access your Photos library.
5. Mac and Apple Vision Pro file access
On Mac, the App lets you select or drag image files. It reads the files you choose while macOS permits access, creates copies inside the App’s sandbox, and does not retain access to the original external files. The Mac App does not request Camera or Photos-library permission. When you export, you select a destination and the App writes image copies plus a text manifest containing the exported photos’ folder, capture date, source, note, and recognized text.
On Apple Vision Pro, the App lets you select one or more image files. It reads the files you choose while visionOS permits access, creates copies inside the App’s sandbox, and does not retain access to the original external files. It does not request Camera, microphone, or Photos-library permission. Opening a photo in another spatial window remains on the device. If you choose Share a Copy, Apple’s sharing system and the destination you select receive that photo copy.
6. On-device text recognition and search
The App uses Apple’s Vision framework on the device to recognize text inside saved images. Recognized text is stored with the local library so the App can search it. Images, recognized text, notes, folder names, and search terms are not sent to a remote OCR, AI, advertising, or analytics service. Recognition and search may be incomplete or inaccurate.
7. Product-interaction analytics
Release builds can send limited product-interaction events to PostHog’s United States service for analytics. This setting is enabled by default. You may turn off the analytics toggle in App Settings at any time; when it is off, the App sends no further analytics events.
An analytics event may include:
- a random App-installation identifier that the App does not link to your name, email, Apple Account, advertising identifier, or photo content;
- the event name, such as opening the App, importing photos, exporting photos, or using a feature;
- App name, bundle identifier, version, build number, platform, environment, source, and event-schema version;
- limited non-content values such as item counts, success or failure, permission state, or selected feature state; and
- an approximate city, region, country, and coarse coordinates derived by PostHog from the network address used to deliver the event.
The analytics code rejects property names associated with titles, notes, names, text, content, files, paths, URLs, dates, email, phone numbers, amounts, or transactions. The App does not send PostHog your photo files, thumbnails, folder names, notes, recognized text, search text, file names, file paths, Contacts, precise location, or Apple advertising identifier. PostHog receives the network IP address when handling an event, may use it for delivery and security, and may store coarse location derived from it.
Company uses analytics to understand feature reliability and general product use, diagnose non-content failures, and improve the App. The App does not use analytics for advertising, cross-app tracking, automated decisions, or sale of personal information.
8. Exports, sharing, and destinations you choose
When you export photos, the export package includes image copies and a text manifest containing each exported photo’s folder, capture date, source, note, and recognized text. When you export, share, save to Photos, open an image in another app, or reveal an image file in Finder, Apple and the destination you choose may receive the selected content. Those destinations operate under their own terms and privacy policies. The App does not automatically publish content, create public links, or upload your library to Company.
9. Support, website, and App Store information
If you contact support, Company may receive your email address, name, message, screenshots, attachments, device and App details, and any content you choose to send. Do not send private photo content unless you want Company to review it for support. Company uses support information to respond, troubleshoot, maintain records, protect the service, and comply with law.
When you visit a Company webpage, hosting and security providers may process routine web information such as IP address, date and time, requested page, user agent, referrer, approximate region, performance data, and abuse-prevention signals. Apple may provide Company aggregated App Store sales, download, crash, diagnostic, refund, and performance reports according to your settings and Apple’s policies.
10. Information the App does not request or use
Except for the platform-specific photo features described above, the App does not request or use your microphone, contacts, calendars, reminders, health data, motion data, Bluetooth, biometric data, or precise location. It does not include advertising SDKs, social-media SDKs, remote AI services, or cross-company tracking. It does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11. Deletion and retention
You may move a photo to Recently Deleted, restore it, or delete it permanently. Recently Deleted items are eligible for automatic permanent deletion after 30 days. Permanent deletion attempts to remove the image, thumbnail, and related local database record. Deleting the App ordinarily removes its active local container from that device, subject to operating-system behavior and copies in backups or destinations you chose.
Company cannot delete or recover your local library because Company does not possess it. Analytics, web logs, support messages, App Store reports, and business or legal records may be retained as reasonably necessary for analytics, security, support, tax, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and platform compliance, after which they may be deleted or deidentified.
12. Security
The App relies on Apple’s application sandbox and operating-system protections. Company uses reasonable safeguards for information it receives, but no device, backup, network, email, or storage method is perfectly secure. You are responsible for device access, passcodes, backups, exported files, and destinations you choose.
13. Children
The App and Company support services are not directed to children under 13. Company does not knowingly collect a child’s photo library through the App. If you believe a child submitted personal information to Company through support or a Company website, contact us so the request can be reviewed.
14. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights concerning information Company possesses, including access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, appeal, or objection. Send a request to dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Company may need to verify the request. Because Company does not possess your local App library, use the App and your device controls to manage that content.
15. International processing
Company operates from the United States. Analytics, website, support, App Store, and service-provider information may be processed in the United States or other places where those providers operate. Your local App content remains on your device unless you choose an external destination or a device service copies it.
16. Changes
We may update this Policy when the App, law, or service providers change. The effective date identifies the current version. We will update disclosures and obtain consent where required before introducing materially different data practices.
