# Privacy Policy for Snap & Folder Effective Date: May 15, 2026 Snap & Folder is published by Myworkingmemory LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it. Snap & Folder is designed to be a camera-first utility for useful photos you need to find again. The app stores your filed photos and related information locally on your device. There is no Snap & Folder account, no Myworkingmemory LLC cloud backend, no advertising, and no tracking. ## Information Snap & Folder handles When you use the app, Snap & Folder may handle the following information on your device: - Photos you capture with the camera inside the app. - Photos you choose to import using Apple's photo picker. - Thumbnail images generated by the app. - Folder names, folder order, folder icons, and folder colors. - Notes you add to filed photos. - Text recognized inside images by local on-device OCR. - Photo metadata used by the app, such as captured date, saved date, file size, source, favorite status, and image dimensions. - App settings, including onboarding completion, folder settings, and whether "Save a copy to Photos" is enabled. - Whether you have an active subscription, as reported to the app by Apple's StoreKit framework on your device. This information is used to capture, import, file, browse, search, move, export, share, and delete your useful photos. Because Snap & Folder is intended for practical photos, the images and notes you save may contain personal or sensitive information, such as receipts, documents, medicine labels, serial numbers, car information, work records, warranty details, home project details, or everyday proof. You choose what to save in the app. ## No developer server Snap & Folder does not require an account. The app does not transmit your photos, thumbnails, notes, folders, recognized text, or local app settings to any server operated by Myworkingmemory LLC. We do not run a server that stores your Snap & Folder library. We cannot read your filed photos or recover them for you. ## Local storage on your device Snap & Folder stores full-size images and thumbnails as files in the app's local container on your device. The app stores metadata, such as folder, note, date, source, and recognized text, using Apple's SwiftData framework. Snap & Folder does not store image blobs in SwiftData. Photos saved only inside Snap & Folder may be deleted if you delete the app. Export important folders before removing the app. ## Camera Snap & Folder requests camera permission so you can take useful photos and file them into folders. The camera is used only for photo capture inside the app. Snap & Folder does not record video and does not request microphone access. You can grant, deny, or change camera permission at any time in iOS Settings. ## Photo import and optional saving to Photos Snap & Folder uses Apple's PhotosPicker so you can choose specific existing photos to import. PhotosPicker lets you select photos without giving Snap & Folder broad access to your full photo library. If you turn on "Save a copy to Photos," new camera captures are also saved to your Apple Photos library using add-only Photos access. Snap & Folder still keeps its own filed copy inside the app. Imported photos already exist in Photos, so the app does not create an additional Photos copy for imports. Photos stored in Apple Photos may sync through iCloud Photos or other Apple services depending on your device settings. Apple's terms and privacy policy govern Apple Photos, iCloud Photos, and related Apple services. Myworkingmemory LLC cannot access your Apple Photos library. You can grant, deny, or change Photos permission at any time in iOS Settings. ## Local OCR Snap & Folder uses Apple's Vision framework to recognize text inside saved images. OCR runs locally on your device after the photo is saved. OCR does not block the save flow. Recognized text is stored locally in Snap & Folder so search can find text inside images. Snap & Folder does not send your images or recognized text to a server for OCR, analysis, or training. If OCR fails, the photo remains saved and usable. ## Search Search runs locally on your device. It may search folder names, notes, recognized text, and date-related information. Search queries are not sent to Myworkingmemory LLC. ## Export and sharing Snap & Folder lets you export or share photos using Apple's system share sheet and Files-related features. When you choose to export or share, you control the destination. Files, apps, cloud services, people, or other destinations you choose may receive the exported or shared content, and their own terms and privacy policies may apply. ## What the app does not access Snap & Folder does not request or use your location, microphone, contacts, calendars, reminders, health data, motion data, biometrics, Bluetooth, or broad photo library access for simple photo import. Snap & Folder does not write to Apple Reminders or Apple Calendar. ## Tracking Snap & Folder does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app does not display the App Tracking Transparency prompt because no tracking occurs. The app contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, social media SDKs, or AI services that read your photos, notes, or recognized text. Your photos, notes, and recognized text are not transmitted to any third party for processing, analysis, advertising, or training. ## Email and marketing We do not collect your email address through the app. We do not send you marketing communications through the app. ## Purchases and subscriptions Snap & Folder offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes payment information, manages billing, handles free trials, and provides the app with information needed to determine whether your subscription is active. That subscription status is used to provide access to paid app functionality. Snap & Folder does not receive your full payment card information. You can manage or cancel subscriptions, including ending a free trial before it converts, through your Apple Account settings. You can also use Restore Purchases in the app. ## Crash and performance data If you have opted in to Share With App Developers in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share aggregated or de-identified crash and performance information with Myworkingmemory LLC through Apple's developer tools. This data is generated and de-identified by Apple, not by Snap & Folder, and does not contain your filed photos, notes, or recognized text. ## Data sharing Snap & Folder does not sell your personal information. Snap & Folder does not share your photos, thumbnails, notes, folders, recognized text, or local app settings with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. Information may be handled by Apple as necessary for App Store purchases, subscriptions, device permissions, camera capture, PhotosPicker import, optional saving to Photos, crash reports, diagnostics, or other Apple platform services, depending on your device settings and Apple's own policies. ## Children Snap & Folder is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not require an account and does not collect personal information through our servers, we do not knowingly collect personal information from users of any age. ## Security Snap & Folder is designed to keep your filed photos and related information on your device. Please remember that no device, app, or storage method can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked device may be able to see information stored in the app. ## Retention Because Snap & Folder stores your library locally on your device, retention is controlled primarily by you. You can delete photos inside the app. When you delete a filed photo, Snap & Folder attempts to delete the full-size image file, thumbnail file, and related SwiftData metadata. You can delete the app to remove locally stored app data from your device, subject to normal iOS behavior. Photos that you separately saved to Apple Photos, exported, or shared may remain outside Snap & Folder until you delete them from those destinations. ## Your choices You can: - Choose whether to capture photos in the app. - Choose which existing photos to import with PhotosPicker. - Add, edit, or delete notes. - Move photos between folders. - Delete filed photos inside the app. - Create, rename, reorder, or delete eligible folders. - Turn "Save a copy to Photos" on or off. - Revoke camera or Photos permission in iOS Settings. - Export important photos or folders before deleting the app. - Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings. ## Changes to this Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and make the revised policy available where the app or App Store listing links to it. ## Contact Questions about this Privacy Policy can be sent to: dean@myworkingmemory.ai
