Effective Date: May 26, 2026 · Last Updated: June 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how myworkingmemory LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Document Redactor mobile application (the “App”), related app features, and our support, terms, and privacy pages. For privacy questions, contact us at dean@myworkingmemory.ai.
User Content means PDFs, redaction marks, extracted text, exported redacted copies, screenshots, attachments, messages, or other content you create, import, mark, export, share, or choose to send in connection with the App.
Personal Information means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked to a person or household. Sensitive Information may include health information, financial information, authentication credentials, government identification numbers, children’s information, biometric information, or highly personal content.
The App may process information on your device to provide the features you request. For example, the App may process your selected PDF, redaction marks, page images, text captured through text selection, and exported redacted copy so that you can mark sensitive areas, create an image-only redacted PDF, run a local redaction check, and share or save the exported copy. This local processing does not mean we receive or store that information.
We do not collect, receive, or store your PDFs, redaction marks, exported redacted copies, extracted text, file names, document metadata, or other User Content through the App, unless you choose to send that content to us or to a third party. We cannot access, recover, delete, review, or back up content that is stored only on your device.
The App does not collect analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, tracking data, account data, location data, contacts, camera data, microphone data, photo library data, or full payment-card information. The App does not include a crash-reporting SDK or send crash reports directly to us. The current version does not include third-party SDKs.
The App copies the PDF you choose into local temporary storage so it can open and render the file. It also writes exported redacted copies to local temporary storage so it can verify and share them. These files remain on your device unless you share them elsewhere. They may be removed by the App in a future version, by the operating system’s temporary-file cleanup, when you delete the App, or when you erase or reset your device.
Because we do not receive local-only files, we cannot recover or delete them for you. Deleting the App, deleting local files, resetting your device, disabling backups, running out of storage, or losing access to your device may permanently delete content stored locally.
Depending on your device settings, local files or app data may be included in device backups or cloud backups controlled by you and/or your device provider. We do not control your device backup settings. The App requires sufficient device storage to open, render, export, and share PDFs. If your device has insufficient storage, some features may fail, files may not save correctly, or content may be lost.
You may choose to provide information when you contact us, request support, send feedback, submit a screenshot, send an attachment, or otherwise communicate with us. We collect the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, attachments, device details, app version, and any other information you include. We use that information to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, improve app reliability, and maintain records of the request.
Please do not send sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request. Do not send passwords, full payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive credentials. Screenshots or attachments you send to support may contain Personal Information; you are responsible for reviewing and obscuring screenshots before sending them.
When you visit our website or support pages, our hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps to provide, secure, and maintain the website. These pages do not use cookies or trackers.
Our email provider may process support communications and related technical data to provide email, security, spam prevention, and related services.
If you choose to share diagnostics with Apple, we may receive limited crash or diagnostic information through Apple’s developer tools, such as app version, device type, operating system version, crash time, and technical details about the crash, to diagnose and fix bugs. We do not receive your PDFs or redaction content through Apple diagnostics.
We use information only for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
The App may locally attempt to extract text from the exported PDF, search for text strings captured when you used text highlighting, check for annotations, and check for document metadata reported by Apple’s PDF framework. Those checks happen on your device. We do not receive the results or the text being checked.
Document Redactor is sold as a one-time paid App Store download. App Store purchase, billing, taxes, receipts, and refund requests are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
The App does not include an in-app purchase gate, subscription, entitlement server, or separate account database.
When you choose to export, save, open, email, text, upload, or share content from the App, you direct the App to send that content to the destination you select. If you use your device’s share sheet or export tools, the content may be handled by your operating system and the third-party app, service, person, or platform you select. After you share content with another destination, that destination’s privacy practices apply. We do not control third-party destinations.
If you export a file, the exported copy may remain outside the App even if you later delete the App or delete local files.
The App does not use third-party services to redact your PDFs, and the current App version does not include third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, AI, cloud-storage, account, subscription, or in-app purchase SDKs.
We may use service providers that help us operate, maintain, secure, or support the App and related pages, such as website hosting and email providers. We require service providers that process Personal Information for us to use it only for authorized purposes.
We do not send your PDFs or other app content to third-party AI services, and we do not use your PDFs, redaction marks, extracted text, exported files, or support attachments to train AI or machine-learning models.
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs in the App. The App does not display third-party advertising. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising or advertising measurement. We do not sell Personal Information or share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws.
We may disclose information we maintain if we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or government request, or is necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of us, users, or others. Because much of the App’s content is stored only on your device, we may not have access to information requested by third parties, law enforcement, or users.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information we maintain may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a replacement policy disclosed to users. This does not mean we can transfer local-only User Content we do not possess.
Local User Content remains on your device until you delete it, delete the App, your device or operating system removes it, or you change your device/storage settings. Because we do not receive local-only User Content, we cannot delete it for you.
Support emails and related records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, maintain business records, resolve disputes, comply with law, or protect our rights. Website and email technical logs are retained by our service providers according to their ordinary operational, security, and legal-retention practices.
We may retain information where required or permitted by law, including for security, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.
The App does not require you to create an account. Because we do not maintain an app account for you, there may be no account record for us to delete. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or control certain Personal Information we maintain. We may need to verify your identity or request additional information before fulfilling certain privacy requests.
If you contact us or visit our support pages from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
We design the App to collect only the information needed to provide the requested features. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we process. No method of electronic storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us Personal Information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we collect, use, or share Personal Information, we will provide notice as required by law and, where required, obtain your consent before applying the change. We will update the Effective Date or Last Updated date above when we publish a revised policy.
Because the App’s features and data practices may differ by version, please make sure you are reviewing the Privacy Policy that applies to the version of the App you use.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Please include the name of the App and the nature of your request.
