Start with a local preview
- Choose an MP4 or MOV file from Files.
- Select Natural, Low Light, or Detail.
- Use Technical if you want to adjust the strength yourself.
- Make a preview and compare it with the source.
- Export only if you want a separate copy.
The current local preview covers the first 12 seconds at the source resolution. It includes the source audio track and does not overwrite the video you selected.
What the helper can do
The built-in helper explains controls in everyday words and can suggest one available look. You decide whether to apply it.
The helper does not watch or understand the picture content of your video. It cannot upload a file, start paid processing, make a purchase, or apply a change by itself.
Paid AI cloud restoration
If cloud restoration is offered in your installed build, the service follows these steps:
- The server verifies an active Apple transaction and available processing allowance.
- The server checks the file before accepting a paid job.
- The app uploads an app-owned working copy to private Amazon Web Services storage.
- fal, the AI processing provider, temporarily accesses the video through a short-lived link and creates a video result.
- The service copies that result into private AWS storage, attempts to attach the source audio without changing it, and gives the app a short-lived private download link.
Paid cloud processing is never authorized by the helper or by client-supplied cost information. The server must approve the purchase, allowance, file limits, and bounded cost first.
Initial paid-job limits
- MP4 or MOV input;
- 30 seconds maximum;
- 30 frames per second maximum;
- 200 MB maximum upload; and
- 1920 by 1080 maximum input and 1080p maximum output.
The app and server show the limits that apply before an upload. A file accepted for free local preview may still be too large for paid cloud restoration.
Subscriptions and processing allowance
Apple shows the current plan, price, billing period, trial terms, if any, and finite number of video-processing seconds before you buy. It is not unlimited processing.
For an accepted job, the server measures the selected clip duration and rounds it up to a whole second. It reserves that number of processing seconds while the job runs and consumes them only after a successful result is made available. A final processing failure releases the reserved seconds. A separately controlled second attempt may occur, but provider-managed automatic retries are disabled.
Restore Purchases
Use Restore Purchases in the app while signed into the Apple Account that bought the plan. Restoration depends on Apple's current transaction record and the server's verification.
Pending, cancelled, refunded, or revoked purchases
A pending purchase does not authorize cloud work until Apple confirms it. A cancelled purchase creates no allowance. Apple handles billing cancellation and refund requests. A refund or revocation may end unused access when the server receives and verifies Apple's updated status.
Your original and your sound
The app makes a working copy and does not overwrite the source file. The AI provider processes video frames. Afterward, our service attempts to attach the source audio track to the result without changing the audio content.
Always watch and listen to the completed file before deleting anything or sharing it. Processing can change visual details, fail, introduce artifacts, or produce a result you do not prefer. Audio timing and compatibility can also fail on an unusual file.
Temporary files and downloads
- Private AWS input and output objects automatically delete within 24 hours.
- Upload and download links are short-lived and stop working before or when their backing file is deleted.
- fal receives an expiring private input link. Its result exists at an unguessable public fal URL for a one-hour provider lifecycle. Anyone who obtains that URL during that hour could access it, but the app never displays or gives that fal URL to you.
- We copy the result to private AWS storage before giving the app its separate private download link.
Download promptly. We cannot restore an expired file. The job and transaction record may remain after video deletion so we can verify purchases, allowances, failures, refunds, security, and legal obligations.
Common problems
The app will not accept my video
Try an MP4 or MOV that stays within the limit shown for the feature. Confirm the file opens in Apple's player, has a readable video track, and has finished downloading from any third-party storage provider.
Cloud restoration is missing
Your installed build may offer local preview only. Cloud controls appear only after the paid service, Apple product, live legal pages, server, and cost safeguards are enabled for that build.
My purchase did not appear
Use Restore Purchases, confirm the correct Apple Account is signed in, and try again on a stable network. If it still fails, email us with the app version, iOS version, the time of purchase, and any visible error. Do not send a full payment-card number or Apple Account password.
The result expired
Temporary videos cannot be recovered after automatic deletion. If an available result will not download before expiry, email support with the job identifier shown in the app. Do not attach the source video unless support specifically asks and you choose to send it.
