Halcyon Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Myworkingmemory LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operates Halcyon (the "App"), the myworkingmemory.ai pages that link to this Policy, and related support (together, the "Services"). This Policy explains what the App and Company handle, how it is used and disclosed, and the choices available to you.

2. The short version

Halcyon's complete gameplay record stays in Apple-provided local storage on your device. Company has no Halcyon account, gameplay server, cloud save, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, attribution SDK, or cross-app tracking. Local product counters also stay on your device and are not sent to Company.

The App contacts Apple to load, sell, verify, restore, and revoke its optional permanent and consumable in-app purchases and to use Game Center. It has no subscriptions or advertising. If Game Center is enabled for your Apple Account, Halcyon may send your highest completed Passage and four achievement-progress values to Apple. Company does not receive your words, board, Crystal balance, or complete local gameplay history.

3. Information stored on your device

Halcyon stores the current letters and selection; accepted and recent words; word count; Crystal balance and nightly earning state; thread and Moon Hold state; figure selection, progress, and ownership; Moon Jar contents and any exact pending opening amount; Lantern state; Passage requirements, completions, rewards, and beginner-challenge progress; daily-mission progress; palette ownership and selection; First Light, Founder's Sky, and Constellation Collection fulfillment records; processed consumable transactions and purchase-revocation safeguards; the transaction identifier, time, locale, App version, and Terms version and hash associated with a completed purchase; onboarding and offer state; Long session setting; pending Game Center progress; and local product-interaction counters.

This information is used to run the game, resume where you stopped, prevent duplicate rewards or purchases, honor verified entitlements, and preserve progress. It is stored in the App's local container. Company cannot read, recover, edit, export, delete, or transfer it for you.

Apple-controlled device backups, computer backups, migration, restoration, and related cloud services may copy local App data according to your settings and Apple's terms. Deleting the App removes its local container, subject to those copies.

4. In-app purchases and Apple StoreKit

First Light and Constellation Collection are optional permanent in-app purchases. Fixed Crystal packs and the exact-content Moon Jar are optional consumables. At launch and when you use purchase or restore controls, the App uses Apple StoreKit to request product information, verify the original App transaction, inspect current entitlements, receive verified transaction updates, complete and deliver purchases, restore eligible permanent access, and respond to a refund or revocation.

Apple processes your Apple Account, payment credentials, localized price, tax, receipt, storefront, refund, fraud, and purchase-history information under Apple's terms and privacy policy. Company does not receive your full payment-card number, bank-account number, Apple Account password, or complete Apple Account record. The App receives only Apple-supplied product, app-transaction, entitlement, and transaction information needed to display and fulfill the catalog, determine prior-paid-owner eligibility, prevent duplicate delivery, restore permanent purchases, and remove permanent benefits after a verified revocation. Consumable transaction identifiers and fulfillment status remain in local App storage.

Apple may provide Company aggregate or administrative App Store information, such as downloads, sales, proceeds, refunds, storefront, product-page activity, crashes, and performance. That reporting is separate from Halcyon's local gameplay record.

5. Apple Game Center

Halcyon installs Apple's Game Center authentication handler when the App starts. If your Apple Account is already authenticated for Game Center, Apple may provide the App with your current Game Center alias for display during that session. Halcyon does not save that alias in Company systems.

When you complete local play, Halcyon records pending Game Center progress on your device. If Game Center is authenticated, it may submit your highest completed Passage to the Passage Ladder and progress toward First Passage, Ten Passages, First Constellation, and Daily Constellation achievements. It does not submit the words you weave, the letters on your board, individual mission details, your Crystal balance, Lantern use, palette, purchase status, or complete local history.

Apple operates Game Center and controls its account, identity, authentication, display, visibility, leaderboard, achievements, retention, security, availability, and deletion processes. Scores and achievements may be visible to people allowed by your Game Center privacy settings. Company operates no Game Center server and does not receive your Apple Account credentials or Game Center friend list.

You may manage or sign out of Game Center in your Apple device settings. Halcyon's local game continues if Game Center is unavailable or you are signed out. Signing out stops new submissions but does not delete information Apple already holds; direct those requests to Apple.

6. What Company does not collect through ordinary App use

Company does not collect through the App your individual words, board, recent-word list, Crystal balance, thread, Passage record, daily missions, Lantern use, palette, contacts, photos, camera data, microphone data, precise location, health data, biometric identifiers, government identifiers, financial-account numbers, messages, browsing history, advertising identifier, or cross-app activity.

The App contains no Company analytics, advertising, attribution, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. It does not show advertising, access the advertising identifier, or use App Tracking Transparency because it does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Its Apple privacy manifest declares no data types collected by Company, no tracking, and no tracking domains.

7. Website and hosting data

The App does not send gameplay to Company. If you open a Halcyon legal or support page, the page is hosted by Vercel Inc. Vercel and related infrastructure may process ordinary web-request information, such as IP address, request time, requested page, user agent, referrer, security signals, and error or performance information, to deliver, secure, and maintain the page. These pages contain no advertising or behavioral-analytics tracker.

8. Support communications

If you contact Company, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, the contents of your message, attachments or screenshots you choose to send, and device, App, purchase, or Game Center details you choose to provide. Do not send passwords, payment credentials, confidential material, regulated data, or another person's private information unless it is necessary and you are authorized to do so.

9. How Company uses and discloses limited information

Company uses information it actually receives to answer support, privacy, legal, and safety correspondence; deliver, maintain, secure, debug, and improve Company-controlled pages and the App; understand aggregate App Store and Game Center reporting; investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or Terms violations; satisfy accounting, tax, audit, App Store, and legal duties; establish or defend claims; and complete a financing, reorganization, acquisition, or sale subject to appropriate safeguards.

Company discloses that limited information only to service providers acting for Company; Apple for App Store and platform functions; recipients you direct; professional advisers, auditors, and insurers; authorities or litigants when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or property; and transaction parties subject to suitable confidentiality obligations.

Company does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use personal information for targeted advertising.

10. Retention and deletion

Local gameplay remains on your device until the App or its data is deleted, subject to backups and migration you control. Company cannot delete that record for you. Apple retains App Store and Game Center information under Apple's policies.

Company retains support and legal correspondence, transaction information made available by Apple, website records available to Company, and necessary business records only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, accounting, tax, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, App Store compliance, and legitimate business operations. Company then deletes or de-identifies them subject to legal holds and backup cycles.

11. Security

Company uses administrative and technical safeguards proportionate to the limited information it handles. The protections that matter most for local gameplay are controls you manage: your device passcode, operating-system updates, Apple Account security, Game Center privacy settings, and backup settings.

No device, storage, email, website host, or transmission method is completely secure. Company cannot guarantee that loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure will never occur.

12. Children

Halcyon is a general-audience word game and is not directed to children under 13. Company does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through ordinary App use. Game Center, purchases, Ask to Buy, and Family Sharing are governed by Apple and a parent or guardian's settings. If you believe a child sent personal information to Company through support, contact us.

13. Your privacy choices and rights

You can remove Halcyon's local record by deleting the App. Manage Apple Account purchase information, Game Center information, visibility, and deletion through Apple. Company cannot access, correct, export, or delete local gameplay it does not have.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information Company holds, including access, correction, deletion, portability, withdrawal of consent, or appeal. Send a request to support@myworkingmemory.ai. Company may verify identity and authority proportionately and may retain information where law permits or requires. Company will not discriminate against you for exercising a non-waivable privacy right.

14. International handling

Company operates from the United States. Local gameplay is not transferred to Company merely because you use Halcyon elsewhere. Apple StoreKit and Game Center traffic, website hosting, and support messages may be processed where Apple, Vercel, email providers, or other service providers operate under their terms and applicable safeguards.

15. Changes to this Policy

Company may update this Policy to reflect product, platform, legal, or operational changes. The effective date identifies the current version. Company will provide additional notice or obtain consent when a change materially expands Company use of personal information and applicable law requires it.
