Almanac support
Almanac: Word Workout is a one-time-purchase word game for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. It remembers which words are new, steady, rooted, or ready to return while keeping the complete practice history on your device. There is no Almanac account, subscription, advertising, or cross-app tracking. Apple Game Center play is optional and off until you choose it.

Write to dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Include the Almanac version, your device and operating-system version, and what happened just before the problem. A screenshot can help. Do not send passwords, payment details, your Apple Account credentials, or other sensitive information.
Practice and answers
- Quick Five presents five words for a short return.
- Full Sitting presents eight words balanced across review, recovery, and discovery.
- Recovery appears when words are ready to return after a miss.
- The Gauntlet continues one word at a time until the first miss, then records the rung reached.
A missed answer does not erase progress or end a rhythm outside the Gauntlet. Almanac shows the word, meaning, origin where available, and an example before moving on.
Your Almanac
- Lexicon shows every word you have met, its current state, and its retrieval history.
- Ledger shows local practice days, recent accuracy, and retrieval pace.
- Standing recognizes the number of words made durable through repeated retrieval.
- This Month shows the monthly calendar and creates a share card. Only the card you choose is passed to the Apple share sheet.
Version 2 automatically carries forward the aggregate Practice Ledger totals stored by version 1 on the same installation. It does not invent a word-by-word history for earlier sessions.
Apple Game Center
Game Center is optional. Open Settings on iPhone, iPad, or Mac; on Apple Vision Pro, open More, then Settings & Game Center. Choose separately whether to post standings, post achievements, or accept Gauntlet challenges. All three choices begin off. Enabling any choice asks Apple Game Center to authenticate you.
Game Center sign-in, friends, scores, achievements, challenge invitations, notifications, privacy settings, and deletion requests are Apple services. Manage them in your device Settings under Game Center. If Game Center is unavailable or left off, the complete local Almanac experience still works. Direct challenge presentation depends on operating-system and Game Center support; older supported systems open the Game Center dashboard instead.
Storage, deletion, and recovery
Practice history is stored in Almanac on your device. Myworkingmemory LLC has no copy and cannot read, recover, edit, export, or delete it for you. Deleting Almanac deletes its local records, subject to any Apple device or computer backup you control. Game Center information is held by Apple and is not deleted merely by deleting Almanac.
Before deleting the App, make any screenshots or month-card shares you want to keep. Almanac does not provide cloud sync or a Company recovery account.
Purchase and refunds
Almanac is a one-time App Store purchase with no subscription or in-app purchase. Apple handles payment, Family Sharing eligibility, receipts, and refund decisions. Request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Privacy and legal
Almanac contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. Local practice data is not sent to Myworkingmemory LLC. If you opt in, the selected aggregate standings and achievement progress are sent to Apple Game Center under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
