1. Who We Are

Myworkingmemory LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Teleprompter & Prompter Video (the "App") and the myworkingmemory.ai website pages for the App (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains the information the App and Company handle, why it is handled, when it may be disclosed, and the choices available to you.

This Policy is a privacy notice, not a promise that every privacy law applies and, to the extent permitted by law, not a standalone contract, warranty, or source of remedies. The Teleprompter & Prompter Video Terms of Service govern contractual, warranty, liability, and dispute matters. Nothing in either document limits a non-waivable privacy or consumer right.

2. Short Version

Teleprompter & Prompter Video is a free-to-download Apple-platform teleprompter for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You write or paste a script, mark the pauses and the lines you mean to land, and read it back as large scrolling text at a speed you control. One optional in-app purchase, Recording Unlock, adds video recording on iPhone and iPad.

Your scripts are stored on your device. There is no Company account, no Company sign-in, and no Company cloud sync. Company does not receive, read, store, or back up your scripts.

On iPhone and iPad, the App can record video of you while your script scrolls. That feature uses the camera and the microphone, and it is off until you open the recording screen and grant permission. The finished video is written to a temporary file on your device and then the App attempts to save it to your own photo library, which requires your permission to add photos. The temporary file is deleted after that save attempt, whether it succeeds or fails. The recording is never uploaded to Company or to anyone else, and Company cannot see it. The scrolling text is never composited into the video: the saved file is clean footage of you, and only you see the words. The Mac app has no camera, microphone, or photo-library feature.

The App can send a small set of product-analytics events to PostHog, described in section 7, so Company can tell whether the App opens, whether basic actions work, and which versions are in use. Those events carry counts, controlled labels, and version information. They never carry your script text, script titles, file names, or any part of a recording.

Whether it sends them depends on the version you have, and section 7 is exact about it. In the Apple Vision Pro app, and in every version of the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps released after August 19, 2026, analytics are off until you turn them on in More › Usage Data, and no identifier exists until you do. In iPhone and iPad version 1.1 and Mac version 1.0.1 — the versions on sale before that date — the events are sent from launch and there is no in-app switch; deleting the App stops them.

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, does not use cross-app tracking, does not collect biometric identifiers, and does not provide health, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional services.

3. Product and Privacy Posture

The App is designed as follows:

• free Apple App Store distribution for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, plus Recording Unlock, an optional non-consumable in-app purchase that adds video recording on iPhone and iPad;
• Recording Unlock is purchased and billed through your Apple Account; Company does not receive your full payment-card number, bank-account number, or Apple Account credentials;
• no Company account, sign-in, or public profile;
• scripts you write, paste, or import are stored on your device using Apple platform storage, and are not transmitted to Company;
• on iPhone and iPad only, optional camera, microphone, and add-to-photo-library access used solely to record a video you initiate and save to your own photo library;
• the App connects to the network for two purposes only: to reach Apple's App Store so the in-app purchase and qualifying prior mobile acquisition can be loaded, purchased where applicable, verified, and restored, and — only where you have switched them on, or in the earlier versions identified in section 7 — to send the product-analytics events described there;
• no third-party advertising SDK and no cross-app tracking; and
• the App is not a health, medical, mental-health, biometric, financial, legal, employment, housing, education, broadcast, emergency, or safety-critical service.

Different App features or data practices in future versions may require different disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules, and this policy would be updated accordingly.

4. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following on your device:

• the scripts you create: title, platform or project label, script body text, and created and updated dates;
• prompter settings, such as scroll speed, text size, mirror mode, and the dimming level used behind the words;
• a record of whether Recording Unlock has been verified as purchased, which the App reads from Apple rather than from a Company account or customer database; and
• a random installation identifier used only for the analytics described in section 7.

This information is stored using Apple platform storage, including SwiftData and local settings storage. Company does not receive, read, store, process, or back up your scripts.

If you import a script from a file, the App reads only the file you pick through the system file picker, or that you drag into the App, under operating-system user-selected file access. It copies the text into a script on your device. It does not index, browse, or upload your files.

5. Camera, Microphone, and Recordings

This section applies to iPhone and iPad. The Mac app has no camera, microphone, or photo-library feature.

Recording is an optional feature that runs only while the recording screen is open and the App is in the foreground. The camera and microphone are active during that time so the App can show the preview and prepare a take. The App begins writing video and audio only after you press Record and the countdown finishes, and it stops the camera and microphone session when you close that screen or the App leaves the foreground. iOS asks for camera and microphone permission the first time, and asks separately for permission to add to your photo library when a take is saved. You can refuse or later withdraw any of these permissions in the Settings app; the rest of the App keeps working without them.

When you record:

• video and audio are captured on your device and written to a temporary file inside the App's own sandboxed temporary folder;
• when the take ends, the App attempts to save the file to your photo library, then deletes its temporary copy whether the save succeeds or fails;
• the scrolling script is drawn on the camera preview only and is never composited into the saved file;
• nothing is streamed, broadcast, or uploaded, and the App has no Company server to upload it to; and
• Company never receives, sees, stores, or processes your recordings, and cannot recover a recording for you.

Once a recording is in your photo library it is governed by your own device, iCloud, and backup settings, not by the App. Recording other people may require their knowledge or consent under the law of your state or country; you are responsible for obtaining it, as the Terms of Service set out.

6. Apple Purchases and Payment Data

The App is free to download from the Apple App Store. Recording Unlock is an optional non-consumable in-app purchase that is bought once and does not expire. There is no subscription. Apple processes that purchase, and its price, currency, taxes, and fees vary by storefront.

Company never receives, stores, or processes your payment-card number, and Company does not learn your Apple Account credentials. The App asks Apple whether your Apple Account owns Recording Unlock and whether your verified original App Store acquisition predates September 2, 2026, which qualifies earlier customers for the unlock without another charge. Company does not receive or maintain a customer purchase database. Restore Purchase asks Apple to refresh eligible verified purchase information, which is how the unlock follows you to a new device or a reinstall.

Depending on Apple's systems and your Apple privacy and diagnostic settings, Apple may make limited App Store Connect records available to Company, such as units, proceeds, refunds, territories, app versions, device categories, crash or diagnostic reports, and aggregate performance data. Those records do not include your scripts, your recordings, your full payment-card number, your bank-account number, or your Apple Account password. Apple determines what it collects and provides under its own terms and privacy policy.

7. Product Analytics

Provider. The App sends product-analytics events to PostHog, operated by PostHog, Inc., using PostHog's United States endpoint at us.i.posthog.com. PostHog acts as Company's processor for this purpose.

Purpose. Company uses these events to tell whether the App launches, whether basic actions such as creating a script or opening the prompter are working, whether a release has broken something, and whether the in-app purchase and restore flows complete. They are used to make product and reliability decisions, not to build a profile of you.

Consent, and which versions ask. In the Apple Vision Pro app, and in every iPhone, iPad and Mac version released after August 19, 2026, this whole section is switched off until you turn it on under More › Usage Data. Nothing is sent and no identifier is created before that. Turning it off again deletes the identifier from your device and stops anything further, so a later opt-in starts a fresh identifier that cannot be joined to the earlier events. The screen shows you the identifier while it is on, so a deletion request can name the records it means. In the earlier versions described above there is no switch: the events are sent from launch, and deleting the App is how you stop them.

Identifier. When analytics are on, the App holds a random identifier stored on your device. It is not your name, email address, Apple Account, advertising identifier, or device serial number, and it is not linked to any Company account, because there is no Company account. On iPhone and iPad, deleting the App removes it and a later reinstall generates a new one; on Mac it survives in the App's container folder until you remove that folder, as section 7 explains under Your choices. The App instructs PostHog not to create a person profile for it.

What the events cover. App opened, first observed launch, and app updated; a script created or deleted; the prompter opened, and paused or resumed; the upgrade offer shown; a purchase started, completed, or failed; a restore started, completed, or failed; and, on iPhone and iPad, the camera and microphone permission result, a recording started, the camera flipped, and a recording completed or failed.

What the events carry. The App version, build number, bundle identifier, app name, and platform, together with small controlled values such as counts, true or false flags, and fixed labels — for example how many scripts already existed, whether mirror mode was on, whether a purchase succeeded or was cancelled, and a coarse duration band for a recording such as "under one minute." A filter in the App removes any property whose name suggests free text or identifying content before an event is sent.

What the events never carry. Script text, script titles, project labels, imported file names or paths, any part of a video or audio recording, the exact length of a recording, photo-library contents, contacts, precise location, email addresses, phone numbers, payment-card numbers, transaction identifiers, or Apple Account information.

Network facts. Sending an event is an ordinary HTTPS request, so PostHog necessarily receives the originating IP address and may derive an approximate region from it. Company does not use that to identify you, and Company does not join it to any other record.

Retention. Analytics events are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for reliability, product, and business analysis, and no longer than PostHog's applicable retention period for the Company project.

Your choices. Where the switch exists, turning it off is the direct answer and takes effect immediately. Otherwise, and in any case: on iPhone and iPad, deleting the App stops all future events from that installation and removes the identifier with the rest of the App's data, so a later reinstall starts with a new one. On Mac this works differently: the App is sandboxed, and dragging it to the Trash does not remove its container folder at ~/Library/Containers/com.myworkingmemory.TeleprompterTheMoment. The identifier and your prompter settings stay in that folder until you delete it yourself, and reinstalling the Mac app picks the same identifier back up. Blocking the App's network access, or using the App offline, also prevents events from being sent; the App works normally either way and never blocks a feature on an analytics call. If you want the events already recorded for your installation deleted, email dean@myworkingmemory.ai; because the identifier is random and held only on your device, Company can act on a deletion request when you supply the identifier or enough detail to locate the records, and will otherwise explain what it can and cannot find.

8. Network and Hosting Data

The App connects to the network for two purposes only: Apple's App Store, so Recording Unlock can be loaded, purchased, verified, and restored; and the analytics endpoint described in section 7. Neither connection carries a script, a script title, a file name, or a recording. Company operates no server that stores your content.

The myworkingmemory.ai pages for the App are static pages served by a hosting provider. Like any web host, it may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, and requested path for delivery, security, and abuse prevention. Visiting those pages is separate from using the App.

9. Support Communications

If you email Company for support, Company receives your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include. Do not send confidential, privileged, personal, or sensitive material; a description of the issue is normally enough, and Company does not need your script or your video to help. If you choose to send a file or other information, Company may use it to respond, investigate the reported issue, protect the Services, and maintain reasonable legal and business records.

10. Apple and App Store Data

Apple independently operates the App Store, StoreKit, Apple Account, billing, in-app purchase, download, refund, fraud-prevention, and platform-diagnostic services. Apple may collect and process account, device, transaction, purchase, diagnostic, and related information under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Company does not control Apple's practices.

Company may receive the limited App Store records described above, but never receives your scripts or your recordings through StoreKit or App Store Connect.

11. Information We Do Not Collect Through Ordinary App Use

Unless the App is changed and this policy is updated, Company does not collect through ordinary App use:

• your script text, script titles, or project labels;
• your video or audio recordings, or any frame or sample of them;
• imported file names, file paths, or the contents of your photo library;
• Company account usernames or passwords;
• full payment-card numbers, bank-account numbers, or transaction identifiers from Apple purchases;
• contacts;
• precise location;
• biometric identifiers or biometric information, including face or voice templates;
• health or medical data;
• government identifiers;
• advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking;
• SMS or phone-call data;
• a public social profile or public gallery; or
• data for sale to data brokers.

The camera and microphone are active only while the recording screen is open and the App is in the foreground. Capture to a temporary file begins only when you press Record and the countdown finishes, and the resulting file goes only to your photo library.

12. How We Use Information

Because the App does not transmit your scripts or recordings to Company, Company uses only the limited information it actually receives, such as the analytics events in section 7, support communications, ordinary website-hosting data, and records Apple makes available, to:

• respond to support, legal, safety, and privacy requests;
• troubleshoot bugs, crashes, and compatibility issues;
• operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Services;
• enforce the Terms and protect Company Parties, users, and platforms;
• comply with law, tax and accounting duties, app-store rules, and legal process; and
• make business decisions about reliability, pricing, App Store compliance, and product direction.

13. How We Share Information

Company may disclose the limited information it receives to:

• service providers and processors that host the website, provide email, provide the product analytics described in section 7, or support Company systems;
• Apple and platform providers for App Store distribution, purchases, refunds, app review, and fraud prevention;
• professional advisors, insurers, auditors, and business-operations providers;
• authorities, courts, regulators, or litigants where legally required or reasonably necessary;
• acquirers, successors, financing parties, or transaction parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or asset sale; and
• other parties with your direction or consent.

Company does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

14. Advertising and Tracking

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising. The analytics described in section 7 are first-party product analytics used by Company for its own App; they are not used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, and they are not shared with advertisers or data brokers. The App does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission because it is not designed to track you across other companies' apps and websites. Different advertising, tracking, sale, share, or behavioral-advertising practices would require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.

15. Retention

Analytics events, support communications, aggregate App Store sales reports, other limited records Apple makes available, website-hosting logs, legal records, and business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, tax, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and ordinary business purposes, and then deleted or de-identified. Your scripts and recordings stay on your device under your control, and Company has no copy to retain.

16. Security

Company uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed for the Services' size, nature, and data posture. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and Company does not guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for your device, passcode, Apple Account, backups, cloud settings, and network security.

Company may investigate suspected security incidents, preserve relevant records, take reasonable containment measures, and notify affected persons or authorities if and when required by applicable law.

17. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to Company, contact Company so the request can be reviewed under applicable law.

18. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, or restrict certain personal information, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. The App does not sell personal information, use targeted advertising, or perform qualifying profiling.

Send a request or an appeal of a denied request to dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Company may reasonably verify your identity and authority, request information needed to evaluate the request, or deny or limit a request where applicable law permits. Company will respond and provide any legally required appeal process within the time required by applicable law, including 45 days where the Tennessee Information Protection Act applies.

Some state privacy laws apply only above revenue, volume, or data-sale thresholds, and Company may not be subject to every law at all times. Company may voluntarily honor a request when no law requires it, but doing so does not represent that a particular law applies or create a continuing contractual obligation. Because your scripts, settings, and recordings remain on your device, Company cannot access, correct, export, or delete them for you.

19. California Privacy Notes

The App does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use third-party ad tracking. Because the App is not a browser-based service, browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change App behavior. Different web tracking, advertising, sale, or share practices would require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.

20. Consumer Health, Biometric, and Sensitive Data

The Services are not designed to collect consumer health data, biometric identifiers, biometric information, precise location, children's data, financial account data, government identifiers, or other sensitive data through ordinary use. Recording yourself with the camera and microphone produces an ordinary video file on your own device; the App performs no face recognition, voice recognition, or other biometric identification on it, and no part of it is sent to Company. Do not use the Services as a medical, mental-health, therapeutic, biometric, emergency, legal, financial, employment, housing, education, insurance, criminal-justice, or safety-critical tool. Different regulated features would require updated notices, consents, retention schedules, or deletion rights as required by applicable law or platform rules.

21. International Use

The Services are operated from the United States and the App is offered in selected App Store territories. Ordinary App use does not transfer your scripts or recordings internationally, because they remain on your device and are not sent to Company. The analytics events described in section 7 are sent to a processor in the United States. If you contact Company from outside the United States, your support communications may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.

22. Changes

Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is identified by an updated effective date. Material data-practice changes are handled as required by applicable law and platform rules.
