Privacy Basics

• No account required.
• No ads or cross-app tracking. Optional analytics and revenue reporting are off; no Statsig or other analytics SDK is enabled.
• Pet records and positions are stored locally on your device.
• Mac app version 1.1 also keeps local purchase-recovery records, protected Keychain records of previously verified ownership, and a small local history that limits repeated offers and review prompts. These records are not sent to us.
• Apple handles product information, purchases, and restores. Mac app version 1.1 can share a clean card made from your pets' artwork and the public App Store link. It does not capture your desktop. VisionOS app version 1.1 shares the public link and a short description.

Common Questions

How do I add a pet?

Open the Screen Pets window and choose a pet. In Mac app version 1.1, selecting a pet previews it; choose Add to desktop to bring it out. On Apple Vision Pro, the pet appears in the floating Pet Yard beside your apps. Room-wide floor roaming is not available in this visionOS release.

How do I pause or move a pet?

On the Mac, double-click a pet to pause or resume, drag it to move it, and right-click it for options. Mac app version 1.1 also provides these controls in My pets and supports Reduce Motion. Closing the manager leaves your companions running; choose Quit Screen Pets from the menu bar to stop the app. On Apple Vision Pro, look at a pet and pinch for its options, or pinch and drag to carry it.

What does the pet house do?

Sending a pet home tucks it into the house and shows a count badge. Use the house to call everyone back out whenever you want the company again.

What is the More Pets Expansion?

Eight classic pets are included with the app download, without an additional collection purchase. The optional More Pets Expansion, called More Pets Collection in Mac app version 1.1 and Expansion Pack Alpha or expansion back alpha in earlier versions, is the same one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks 50 classic pet choices on Mac app versions 1.0 and 1.1 and visionOS app versions 1.0 and 1.1. Some named variants share artwork. In visionOS app version 1.1, the same purchase also unlocks six animated 3D animals: a golden puppy, tabby kitten, lop bunny, otter pup, panda cub, and fennec fox kit. Existing expansion owners do not need a second purchase for these six animals. Those six 3D animals are not included in the Mac app or visionOS app version 1.0.

Check the App Store for the available app version and download price, and the app for the current expansion price. Use Restore Purchases on devices signed into the Apple Account that bought the expansion. The available pets depend on the installed platform and app version.

What is Tiny Dragons?

In Mac app version 1.1, Tiny Dragons is a separate one-time collection of twelve animated dragons: Ember, Frost, Moss, Cloud, Crystal, Tide, Moon, Storm, Blossom, Pebble, Lantern, and Comet. Each has its own appearance and trick, plus walking, idle, and resting animation. You can preview them before purchasing. They are animated two-dimensional artwork, not 3D models. Tiny Dragons is not a subscription and is not part of the visionOS six-animal expansion. The App Store price appears in the app before purchase.

Do earlier customers receive Tiny Dragons?

Mac app version 1.1 includes Tiny Dragons at no extra charge when verified Apple production records show either that you acquired this Screen Pets app before September 17, 2026 at 19:57:20 UTC, or that you have a current, non-revoked More Pets entitlement whose original purchase was before that cutoff. Earlier free app acquisitions and acquisitions on the existing app's other platform count; eligible family-shared More Pets access can also qualify. This benefit does not require an earlier paid app download.

The app checks Apple's records, not a date you enter. Use Restore Purchases to check your access before buying again. Unverified, revoked, or test transactions do not establish this benefit. Previously verified access may remain available while Apple's current status is checked. This benefit adds Tiny Dragons on the Mac; it does not change the contents of the existing More Pets purchase on either platform.

What does sharing send?

In Mac app version 1.1, Share my pets opens the system sharing picker with an artwork card showing up to twelve of the pets in My pets, their names, and the public Screen Pets App Store link. The card is drawn from the app's artwork, not a screenshot: it contains no desktop contents, window titles, files, pet positions, or purchase records. You can also share the public App Store link.

In visionOS app version 1.1, Share with a Friend opens the system share sheet with the public Screen Pets App Store link and a short app description, not your pet records or positions. On either platform, you choose whether, how, and with whom to share. Your selected sharing service handles delivery.

My purchase did not unlock. What should I do?

Choose Restore Purchases inside the app. If a purchase is pending or still needs verification, do not buy it again. If the price cannot be loaded in Mac app version 1.1, use Try loading the price again. Confirm you are using the Apple Account with the purchase or eligible family access. If the pets still do not unlock, email us with your platform and app version and we will help. Apple determines purchase, refund, and Family Sharing status.

Do my pets carry over between my Mac and Apple Vision Pro?

The existing More Pets expansion purchase carries over through your Apple Account, with the platform-specific contents described above. Tiny Dragons is a separate Mac collection, not a replacement for that shared entitlement. Pet positions and rosters are stored locally on each device, so each device keeps its own little flock.
