App

Photo Timestamp: GPS Date Time

Photo Timestamp stamps the date, time, GPS coordinates, address, and your job details onto a photo, and writes a matching record into the file. It works with the camera and with photos you already have, on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.

Camera Permission

Photo Timestamp needs camera access to take stamped photos.

You can manage camera permission in:

iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera

If camera permission is denied, the app cannot take photos until camera access is allowed.

Location Permission

Location is optional.

If you allow location, Photo Timestamp can add GPS coordinates and, when available, an address to the stamped photo.

If location is off, denied, unavailable, stale, or inaccurate, the app can still save photos with date and time only.

You can manage location permission in:

iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services

Photos Permission

Photo Timestamp needs Photos permission to save stamped photos to your photo library.

You can manage Photos permission in:

iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos

Saving Photos

After capture, Photo Timestamp attempts to save the stamped photo to your photo library.

Please confirm important photos appear in Photos before relying on them.

If saving to Photos fails, the app may show a recovery option so you can retry saving later. Deleting the app may delete unsaved local recovery items.

GPS Or Address Not Appearing

GPS or address information may be unavailable because of device settings, location permission, signal quality, buildings, network conditions, Apple services, or other factors.

If address lookup is unavailable, the app may use GPS coordinates only.

If GPS is unavailable, stale, inaccurate, denied, or disabled, the app can still save date/time stamped photos.

Purchases And Restore

Photo Timestamp is free to download and includes three free stamped-photo exports. An export is counted per output image, so a batch uses one for each photo it stamps. A cancelled or failed export does not use one.

After the three free exports, further stamped photos need Full Access, a non-consumable in-app purchase at the price shown in the app.

The three free exports are counted per device. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not give you three more, because the count is kept in the device keychain. A second device has its own three. Full Access is tied to your Apple Account, so Restore Purchase brings it to your other devices.

Full Access includes unlimited stamped photos, batch stamping up to 100 photos at a time, reusable job presets, a logo or signature on the stamp, the full stamp design controls, automatic photo numbering, and Photo Log export as PDF and CSV.

If you bought Photo Timestamp when it was a paid download before version 2.0, you may be eligible for Full Access. Open Settings and choose Restore Purchase while signed in with the same Apple Account you used originally.

If Restore Purchase says nothing was found, check that you are signed in with the Apple Account that made the original purchase, then try again while connected to the internet.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Import And Batch Stamping

Choose Import Photos to stamp photos you already have. Pick up to 100 at a time. Each photo is stamped with its own capture date and with the coordinates stored inside that photo.

If a photo has no capture date in the file, the app tells you and uses the date the file was added. If a photo has no stored location, it is stamped with date and time only.

Your original photos are never changed. Every stamped photo is saved as a new photo.

Presets, Numbering, And Logos

Open Job and Presets to enter the client, site, title, and note for a job, turn on photo numbering, add a logo or signature image, and save the whole setup as a preset you can reuse.

Photo Log

The Photo Log lists the photos you have stamped since opening the app and exports as PDF or CSV. Each line can include a thumbnail, the displayed date and time, coordinates and address, your job details, the photo number, and a SHA-256 value for the exported file.

The SHA-256 value is a consistency identifier. It lets someone check that a file is byte-for-byte the one listed in the log. It is not a certification and makes no claim about legal admissibility.

Local Data And Recovery

Photo Timestamp is designed to save stamped photos to your photo library.

Some recovery items or settings may be stored locally on your device. We may not be able to access, recover, or restore content stored only on your device.

Deleting the app, deleting local files, resetting your device, losing access to your device, or running out of storage may cause local app data or unsaved recovery items to be lost.

Legal And Privacy
