Static: Save Websites Locally Privacy Policy
Local website archive | On-device saved copies | Privacy-safe analytics
Effective date: July 11, 2026 | Company: Myworkingmemory LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company
1. Who We Are
Myworkingmemory LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Static: Save Websites Locally (the "App") and related support services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Services collect, how we use it, how we share it, and what choices you have.
2. Short Version
Static is designed as an iPhone and iPad utility that turns web pages you choose into local PageCards containing the source address, save date, optional note, readable text when available, a PDF snapshot when available, and a visual saved copy.
The current App does not require a Company account, does not include advertising, does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use cross-app tracking. Saved website content stays in the App's local shared container unless you choose to export or share it.
The App must contact the website address you choose in order to load and capture that page. The App also sends limited anonymous product-interaction events to PostHog so Company can understand whether the save workflow works. Analytics do not include page URLs, page titles, notes, readable text, PDFs, screenshots, filenames, paths, contact information, or voice or audio content.
3. Product and Privacy Posture
The Services are designed as follows:
- Apple App Store distribution for iPhone and iPad;
- paid-upfront App Store purchase, with no in-app subscription, consumable purchase, paywall, or Company account in the current version;
- manual page saving by entering a URL and Safari saving through the App's Share Extension;
- local PageCards containing source information, capture status, optional notes, and saved assets when capture succeeds;
- saved website text, PDF snapshots, and visual page images stored in the App's local App Group container;
- no Company cloud archive, public profile, public gallery, social feed, or account sync in the current version;
- no third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral advertising, session replay, automatic screen recording, autocapture, or cross-app tracking;
- direct website requests from your device to the website and resources you choose to load;
- anonymous product-interaction analytics using a random installation identifier, controlled event names, aggregate counts, and controlled status values;
- service providers including Apple for App Store distribution, PostHog for limited analytics, and email or hosting providers for support and Company website operations; and
- the Services are not health, medical, mental-health, biometric, financial, legal, employment, housing, education, emergency, or safety-critical services.
Different App features or data practices may require different disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.
4. Information You Provide or Generate
When you use the Services, the App may process on your device:
- website addresses you enter or share to the App;
- page titles, domains, source dates, and capture-status information;
- notes you choose to write;
- readable page text extracted from a chosen website when available;
- PDF snapshots and visual page images created from a chosen website when available;
- capture mode, completion state, page count, and local archive metadata;
- problem reports you choose to send through your mail app, including screenshots or diagnostic details you attach;
- support messages or emails you send to Company; and
- feedback, reviews, bug reports, or product suggestions you choose to provide.
Do not archive private, confidential, sensitive, illegal, infringing, access-restricted, or rights-restricted content unless you have all rights and permissions needed for that use. You are responsible for the website addresses and content you choose to save.
5. Local Archive, Device Storage, and Backups
Static stores PageCard metadata and captured assets in the App's local App Group container so the main App and Safari Share Extension can use the same archive. Company does not receive or host those PageCards through ordinary App use.
Apple, iOS, your device settings, and any device-backup or cloud-backup choices you enable may affect whether local App data is backed up, transferred, restored, retained, or deleted. Company does not control those systems.
Deleting a PageCard through the App removes its local source information and saved assets. Deleting the App or changing device or backup settings may also remove or transfer local data according to Apple's behavior.
You are responsible for keeping any separate exports or backups that matter to you. Static is a convenience archive, not a guaranteed preservation, legal-records, records-management, or disaster-recovery service.
6. Website Requests and Third-Party Content
When you ask Static to save a page, the App uses Apple's WebKit technology to request the URL and related page resources directly from the website. The website may receive routine network information such as your IP address, request time, browser or device technical details, cookies it sets, and the requested path.
Websites, content providers, authentication services, content-delivery networks, and embedded resources operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Static does not control their content, availability, tracking, access rules, paywalls, or technical behavior.
7. Saved Copies, PDFs, and Exports
Saved copies, readable text, page images, PDFs, source addresses, dates, and notes are stored locally by the App when capture succeeds. Some pages may save only a link or a partial copy.
Apple and your device settings control local storage, backups, iCloud behavior, Files or sharing destinations, deletion, and any export or sharing you perform from your device.
If you export, message, print, publish, sell, copy, or share saved content, that action is controlled by you and by the services you choose. Company does not review those exports through ordinary App use.
8. Product, Analytics, Network, and Hosting Data
When the App sends an analytics event to PostHog, or when you visit a Company website, Company and its hosting, security, analytics, and infrastructure providers may process limited routine technical information, such as:
- IP address;
- request time;
- analytics endpoint path;
- app, device, browser, or operating-system technical data;
- a random anonymous installation identifier generated by the App;
- referrer or user agent where applicable;
- event name;
- controlled capture mode, result, Boolean, score, page-count, and aggregate card-count values;
- basic logs;
- security signals;
- rate-limit signals; and
- App version, build number, bundle identifier, platform, source target, and development or production environment.
This information is used to operate, secure, debug, maintain, and improve the App; understand activation, successful value completion, failures, retention, and feature use; make product and App Store decisions; and respond to technical problems.
The analytics wrapper is designed to block user-created text and sensitive property names. It does not intentionally send page URLs, page titles, notes, readable text, saved images, PDFs, filenames, paths, media, transaction identifiers, email addresses, phone numbers, or contact information. Person-profile creation and GeoIP enrichment are disabled.
9. Support Communications
If you contact Company for support, Company may receive:
- your email address;
- your name if you provide it;
- the contents of your message;
- screenshots or exported files you choose to send;
- attachments you choose to send;
- device, App version, capture-status, or troubleshooting details you choose to provide; and
- other information needed to respond.
Do not send archived page content, private notes, personal information, confidential material, or third-party private information unless you want Company to review it for support purposes.
Company uses support communications to respond to you, troubleshoot, maintain business records, enforce Terms, protect Company Parties, and comply with law.
10. Apple and App Store Data
Apple processes App Store purchases, refunds, taxes, chargebacks, Family Sharing, ratings, reviews, crash information, diagnostics, and App Store analytics under Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
Company may receive aggregated sales, performance, crash, refund, or analytics information from Apple. Company does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
Company may use App Store and purchase-status information as needed to maintain business records, investigate fraud, respond to support, comply with law, or enforce these Terms, but the current App has no in-app purchase or subscription flow.
11. Information We Do Not Collect Through Ordinary App Use
Unless the App is changed and this policy is updated, Company does not collect through ordinary App use:
- Company account usernames or passwords;
- full payment-card numbers from Apple purchases;
- contacts;
- precise location;
- camera data;
- microphone data, speech data, voice conversations, or audio recordings;
- biometric identifiers or biometric information;
- health or medical data;
- government identifiers;
- financial account numbers;
- advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking;
- SMS or phone-call data;
- a public social profile or public gallery; or
- data for sale to data brokers.
PageCards, notes, readable text, saved page images, and PDFs are intended to remain local unless you choose to export, share, back up, or send them. Limited anonymous analytics are processed as described above.
12. How We Use Information
Company uses information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- provide the local page-saving, search, note, saved-copy, and PDF features;
- understand whether the core save workflow starts, completes, fails, or becomes blocked;
- understand aggregate activation, feature use, value completion, and retention without receiving archived page content;
- apply security controls, blocked-property sanitization, rate limits, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention;
- troubleshoot bugs, crashes, device issues, website-capture issues, Share Extension issues, and performance problems;
- respond to support, legal, safety, and privacy requests;
- enforce Terms and protect Company Parties, users, platforms, providers, and payment systems;
- prevent fraud, abuse, scraping, unauthorized access, security incidents, and provider-policy violations;
- comply with law, app-store rules, payment rules, provider rules, and legal process; and
- make business decisions about maintenance, pricing, marketing, reliability, App Store compliance, and product direction.
13. How We Share Information
Company may disclose information to:
- service providers and processors that host, support, secure, analyze, debug, or maintain the App, Company websites, email, and business systems;
- Apple and platform providers for App Store distribution, purchases, refunds, app review, crash reporting, analytics, fraud prevention, and account administration;
- websites and resource providers you direct the App to contact when you request a page capture;
- PostHog, email providers, hosting providers, and infrastructure vendors for limited analytics, delivery, logging, Company website operations, and support communications;
- professional advisors, insurers, auditors, and business operations providers;
- authorities, courts, regulators, or litigants where legally required or reasonably necessary;
- acquirers, successors, financing parties, or transaction parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or asset sale; and
- other parties with your direction or consent.
Company does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
14. Advertising and Tracking
The current iOS App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising.
The current iOS App does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission because it is not designed to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
Different advertising, tracking, sale, share, or behavioral-advertising practices may require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.
15. Retention
The random installation identifier, limited product-interaction events, operational logs, support records, legal records, and business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for App operation, analytics, support, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, App Store compliance, and business operations.
PageCards and captured assets remain on your device until you delete them, delete the App, or Apple or your backup and device settings otherwise remove or transfer them. Company may retain deidentified, aggregated, or non-personal information.
16. Security
Company uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information appropriate for the Services' size and data posture. No system is perfectly secure.
You are responsible for your device, passcode, Apple account, local PageCards, exported PDFs, screenshots, shared files, backups, cloud settings, and network security.
17. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to Company, contact Company so the request can be reviewed under applicable law.
18. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, appeal, or opt out of certain processing.
Some U.S. state privacy laws apply only above certain revenue, volume, or data-sale thresholds. Company may not be covered by every state privacy law at all times. Company handles privacy requests as required by applicable law.
Send privacy requests to dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Company may need to verify your identity before responding. Company handles non-discrimination obligations as required by applicable law.
Because PageCards and captured assets are stored locally, Company ordinarily cannot access, correct, export, restore, or delete that local material for you.
19. California Privacy Notes
The current iOS App does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use third-party ad tracking.
Because the App is not a browser-based service, browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change App behavior. Different web tracking, advertising, sale, or share practices may require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.
20. Consumer Health, Biometric, and Sensitive Data
The Services are not designed to collect consumer health data, biometric identifiers, biometric information, precise location, children's data, financial account data, government identifiers, or other sensitive data through ordinary use.
Do not use the Services as a medical, mental-health, therapeutic, biometric, emergency, legal, financial, employment, housing, education, insurance, criminal-justice, or safety-critical tool.
Different account-sync, cloud archive, advertising, precise-location, health, biometric, face, voice, microphone, speech, public-gallery, payment, or other regulated features may require updated notices, consents, retention schedules, or deletion rights as required by applicable law or platform rules.
21. International Use
The Services are operated from the United States. App Store availability is controlled through Apple's storefront and territory settings.
If you use the Services from outside the United States, limited analytics, support communications, and Company website information may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.
22. Changes
Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is identified by an updated effective date.
Material data-practice changes are handled as required by applicable law and platform rules.
