Hillfort for Mac and Apple Vision Pro
Native-edition notice prepared September 13, 2026.
This section covers Hillfort: Tower Defense Mac and Hillfort: Tower Defense Vision, version 1.0. These separate native editions are being prepared. This notice is not an announcement that either app, purchase, or online feature is publicly available. The iPhone/iPad help below remains separate.
Contact support
Email dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Tell us which edition you use, the app version, device and operating-system version, what you did, and the exact error message. A screenshot can help; hide other people's information. If a purchase is involved, a redacted Apple receipt may help. Never send passwords, account credentials, or full payment-card details.
Play on Mac
Use a mouse or trackpad to choose fixed defense positions and the onscreen controls. The game window can be resized or used full screen. The Battle menu lists keyboard actions: P pauses or resumes, W calls the next wave when available, S changes battle speed, G selects Hero movement, 1 and 2 use Hero abilities, and F opens the Fortress Workshop. Escape closes the active panel or pauses the battle. The same battle actions remain available onscreen. Use the app's Settings command for preferences.
Play on Apple Vision Pro
The game runs in a native window, not an immersive room or a room-scanned tabletop. Look at a control and pinch to select it. Use the fixed defense positions and movement destinations; you do not need to select small moving enemies. A game controller is not required. Pause before removing the headset. When the app becomes inactive it pauses the visible battle; an online session may end or need recovery instead of continuing as a solo battle.
Free campaign and Ashfall
Each native edition includes twelve free campaign missions. The optional, one-time Ashfall Chronicle purchase adds 24 campaign missions, Missions 13–36, and three story battles to that edition. It is not a trial or subscription and does not sell Crystals, paid retries, timer skips, or combat-power boosts. Apple displays the localized price before you confirm.
Purchases are edition-specific. Ashfall for Mac does not unlock Ashfall for Apple Vision Pro or iPhone/iPad, and vice versa. The native editions do not import older iPhone/iPad purchases, consumables, saves, or rewards. Existing iPhone/iPad rights keep their original scope.
Restore a purchase or resolve a pending purchase
In the edition you purchased, open Settings → Ashfall Chronicle & Purchases → Restore Purchase. Use the Apple Account eligible for that edition's purchase. Restore checks Apple's verified entitlement; it does not make a new charge or restore campaign progress. A receipt for a different Hillfort edition cannot unlock this one.
If the price or store cannot load, check your connection and Apple's service availability, confirm that purchases are allowed on the device, and try again later. A pending purchase may require approval or other action through Apple. Cancelling checkout grants no new access. If Hillfort shows a purchase-recovery warning, use its Retry Purchase Recovery action or contact support before deleting any app data.
Refunds and revocations
Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases. Use Apple's Report a Problem service or Apple's refund guidance. The native app has no in-app refund-request form. Eligibility and the outcome depend on Apple's process and applicable consumer law; making a request does not itself approve it.
A verified refund or revocation can close the refunded expansion access. Hillfort keeps earned progress and rewards; retained story-completion records do not themselves replace a valid purchase. Restore does not override a completed refund. Your statutory remedies remain available.
Local saves and safe recovery
Mac and Apple Vision Pro each keep their own local save. There is no Hillfort cloud save, automatic import, cross-edition sharing, transfer feature, or synchronization setting in these native editions. Game Center and Restore Purchase are not game-save backups. Any backup you enable through your operating system is separate from Hillfort and does not add a cross-edition transfer feature.
Solo runs recover from verified between-wave checkpoints, not every moment inside a wave. The pause menu's Quit action explains which checkpoint can be kept. If Hillfort shows a save warning, follow its retry instructions and contact support before force-quitting or deleting app data. A paid battle still needs a valid entitlement when resumed. No recovery system guarantees recovery of lost or damaged data.
Reset campaign progress
Return Home before using Settings → Reset campaign progress; reset is unavailable while a native battle remains open. Read the confirmation before continuing. It clears campaign stars, records, and the saved run in that edition on this device. Audio and accessibility preferences, earned Hero and tower development, Crystals, and purchases are kept. Other progress-state choices can return to their defaults.
This is not an erase-all-data control. It does not delete earned development, purchase-recovery records, reminder counters, cached friend information, Apple's purchase or Game Center records, backups, or support messages. It does not reset another Hillfort edition. Contact support if you need help identifying local app data; removing an app is not a promise that every related record is erased.
Optional Game Center
Solo play does not require Game Center or a Company account. Game Center starts off and can be disabled in Settings. Where enabled and available, Apple handles identity, records, friend access, and network play. Online features depend on this edition's Apple configuration, compatible players, accounts, devices, and connections. Local co-op or Rival rehearsal does not establish that another player or edition can connect. Neither this page nor a saved record promises cross-platform matchmaking.
See the native privacy notice for the information exchanged through optional features and the native terms for purchase and license details.

Existing iPhone and iPad support
The following retained text applies to Hillfort for iPhone and iPad. Its September 2026 version and product-status notices are dated notices, not new announcements of current availability. Its iCloud, legacy-purchase, and iOS-price provisions do not apply to the native Mac or Apple Vision Pro editions.

Version notice — September 5, 2026. Hillfort 1.0 is the released App. Version 1.1 and Ashfall Chronicle are being prepared and are not yet publicly released. The 1.1 instructions below apply only when you have that build and the feature is available. If your installed version looks different, include its version number when contacting us.
Please include the App version, iPhone or iPad model, iOS or iPadOS version, the screen you were using, and what happened just before the problem. Do not send a password, full payment-card number, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Version 1.1: Ashfall Chronicle and pricing
Version 1.1 keeps the original 12 campaign missions free and offers one permanent expansion: Ashfall Chronicle. It adds 24 campaign missions (Missions 13–36 across four regions) and three Ashfall story battles. There is no Ashfall trial, recurring charge, paid currency, paid retry, or paid combat-power boost in this offer.
When available, open the offer from Home, the Chronicle road, a locked Ashfall mission, or Settings → Ashfall Chronicle & Purchases. Apple shows the actual localized price before confirmation; the intended United States base price is $2.99. An eligible purchase has no scheduled expiration and can be restored for the purchasing Apple account. Version 1.0 may still display its earlier catalogue; this page does not change an earlier valid purchase.
Restore Purchase
Use Restore Purchase in the Ashfall offer after reinstalling or changing devices while signed into the Apple account that bought it. Restore does not charge again. If Ashfall does not return, confirm the Apple account and network connection, restart Hillfort, and try Restore again.
Version 1.1 no longer offers older products to new players. It still recognizes valid prior purchases and applicable refund changes so lawfully delivered value is not silently erased. Apple does not ordinarily restore used consumables; a validated local/private-iCloud save may retain their delivered value. If an earlier right is missing, do not delete the App or its saves. Email support with the product name if known, approximate purchase date, App version, and a redacted Apple receipt or purchase-history screenshot. Never send full payment details.
Cancel or request a refund
You can cancel Apple's purchase sheet before confirming. Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases. Use Apple's Report a Problem service for eligible purchases, including older products. Hillfort does not present an in-app refund-request button or link. A request is not automatically approved. Apple decides the result under its rules and applicable consumer law.
If Apple verifies that Ashfall was refunded or revoked, access to the refunded expansion can close again; the free campaign, free-game progress, and earned rewards remain. Requesting a refund does not itself revoke ownership. Restore does not override a completed refund or create a new charge. See Apple's refund guidance if the request option is unavailable.
If the store will not load or a purchase is pending
Product names and prices come from Apple's StoreKit. Check the network connection and Apple System Status, confirm in-app purchases are permitted on the device, and try again later. A pending purchase may require Family approval or action by Apple. Hillfort does not unlock a new Ashfall Chronicle purchase until StoreKit supplies a verified entitlement. Valid earlier story access remains available under its original terms. Apple controls billing, refunds, and chargebacks.
Version 1.1 progress and private iCloud save
Hillfort always saves locally. When iCloud is available, it also mirrors two encoded saves to your private Apple iCloud key-value store and merges changes across your Apple devices. Company cannot open or recover that private save from a Company account or server.
If progress looks old, verify that the same Apple account is signed into iCloud, keep Hillfort open briefly on a working connection, and avoid playing simultaneously on two devices until they converge. The App reports a cloud-backup problem when Apple rejects a save or capacity is unavailable.
Reset all progress clears the progress named by its in-app confirmation and syncs the reset through the save system while preserving settings. It is not an account-deletion tool and does not erase Apple purchase history, Game Center records, every legacy recovery record, device/computer backups, or Company support email. Deleting Hillfort removes local App data subject to iOS behavior but does not by itself promise deletion of private iCloud data. Manage Apple-held data through Apple settings and support.
Optional Game Center in version 1.1
Solo play and the full free campaign work without Game Center. Hillfort's Game Center features are off by default. Turn them on in Hillfort Settings to use leaderboards, achievements, explicit friend-list access, read-only friend Hillfort visits, two-to-four-player co-operative defence, and one-versus-one Rival Trials. The App has no chat, voice, direct messaging, or free-form player posts.
If matchmaking fails, confirm that Game Center is signed in, Hillfort's Game Center switch is on, the device is online, and all players use a compatible App version. The local rehearsal option in Multiplayer demonstrates shared-play rules without another device. Turning Game Center off stops future Game Center activity initiated by Hillfort, but does not delete scores, achievements, match data, or fortress snapshots already held by Apple or another player's device.
Gameplay, settings, and accessibility
Tap an open build site to deploy a tower. Tap a placed tower to upgrade, specialize, evolve, or sell it when the option is available. Move the selected Hero between valid positions and use earned abilities when ready. Settings include audio, haptics, captions, reduced motion, and reduced flashing. Continue Run resumes a saved battle when the saved content is accessible to the current entitlement.
Privacy
Version 1.1 has no advertising, attribution, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK. Bounded Ashfall purchase-journey and sharing counters and a record that limits automatic reminders stay on the device; they are not sent to Company. Choosing Share opens Apple's interface so you decide where to send the predefined message and App Store link. Apple separately processes purchases, private iCloud saves, and enabled Game Center activity. Read the Privacy Policy for the exact data map and older-version differences.
