Privacy for Hillfort on Mac and Apple Vision Pro

Native-edition notice updated September 18, 2026.

This notice covers the native Mac version 1.0 of Hillfort: Tower Defense RTS, under the existing iPhone/iPad App Store listing, and the separate Hillfort: Tower Defense Vision, version 1.0, and related support and website use. Myworkingmemory LLC ("Company," "we," or "us") provides these native versions. They are being prepared; this notice does not announce their public availability. Ashfall ownership is shared between iPhone, iPad and Mac as explained below, but Mac progress remains separate from iPhone/iPad progress. The retained iPhone/iPad notice does not describe a native iCloud service.

What stays in this edition's local storage

The native app uses its own local application storage for settings and accessibility preferences; campaign stars, records and saved-run checkpoints; earned Keep, Hero and tower development, relics, cosmetic choices and Crystals; completed-battle and reward-recovery records; purchase-entitlement and transaction-recovery information; rating-request state; reminder counters; and limited Game Center fortress snapshots already received from other players. Local revision, reset, writer and recovery information helps the app validate and reconcile its own saved data.

These editions do not use Hillfort's iPhone/iPad iCloud save service and do not upload their full saves to a Company game-save server. There is no automatic import, save sharing, progress transfer, or synchronization setting between editions or installations. Backups or device-management services you enable separately through your operating system are distinct from Hillfort's behavior.

Local storage is used to run the game, retain your choices, deliver earned rewards without duplicate grants, and recover saved progress and purchase state. Game Center records and StoreKit Restore Purchase are not backups of this local game data.

Apple purchases

Apple processes payment and supplies StoreKit product details, localized prices, verified transactions, entitlement status, and refund or revocation information. Hillfort uses relevant transaction and recovery information locally to grant, restore, or revoke paid access. One Ashfall purchase works on Mac, iPhone and iPad with the same eligible Apple Account; Apple Vision Pro remains a separate purchase. Shared purchase ownership does not share campaign saves, settings, or earned progress. Company does not receive your full payment-card details through the app. A verified refund or revocation removes the affected paid access without deleting earned progress.

Apple may separately make App Store reports, transaction information, refunds, diagnostics, sales and proceeds information available to Company under Apple's services and your applicable settings. Company uses information it lawfully receives for support, operating the product, accounting, legal compliance, and addressing purchase or technical problems. Apple's own collection and account processing are governed by Apple's privacy notices.

Optional Game Center and other players

Game Center starts off. If you enable it, Apple authenticates the account and supplies a scoped player identifier and display name. The app may submit configured leaderboard scores and achievement progress. If you expressly request friends, Apple may ask permission and return the friends it permits the app to access. Hillfort does not read your device address book.

Where a Game Center feature is configured and available, participating devices can exchange the selected match plan, player identifier and display name, Hero choice, readiness and connection state, commands and game ticks, synchronization checks, scores and results. A read-only fortress snapshot can include Keep level, campaign stars, boss trophies, co-op and Rival victories, Hero kinds, cosmetic fortress identity, and a publication time. Entering an online ready room sends that snapshot to matched players, including people who are not on your friends list; this exchange does not require permission to load your Game Center friends. These records support the requested game features; they are not a transfer of your full campaign save or purchase ownership.

Apple and participating players receive the information needed for the selected feature. A player's device may retain information it has received. Hillfort saves a received fortress snapshot in its own local friend cache only when the sender has a persistent player identifier and is in the Game Center friends list you expressly loaded; that cached snapshot can remain until replaced or the relevant app data is removed. There is no in-app text chat, voice chat, direct messaging, or free-form user gallery. The app's optional online code does not establish that network matching or cross-platform play is available for your edition.

You can turn Game Center off in Hillfort's Settings to stop new activity initiated by the app while it remains off. This does not erase existing Apple-held scores, achievements, previously received snapshots, or another player's copy. Manage Apple-held data through Apple's Game Center and account settings or Apple support. Company does not have a dashboard that can erase Apple or other players' records.

Local counters, reminders, sharing, and ratings

The app stores bounded counts of fixed purchase-journey and system-sharing events, plus a record limiting automatic Ashfall reminders. These records remain local and are not uploaded to Company or an analytics vendor. They do not contain message text, recipients, payment-card data, prices, or a record of your rating choice. Resetting campaign progress does not erase the reminder cap or these separate counters.

If you choose Share, Hillfort provides a predefined message and, when configured, the correct edition's App Store link to the system sharing interface. You choose whether and where to send it. The receiving app, service, and recipient handle what you send under their own terms. Hillfort does not automatically message contacts. A system completion signal is not proof that a recipient read or used the message.

After genuine gameplay progress, the app may ask Apple to display its rating interface. Apple controls that interface. A local flag limits repeated requests; Company does not learn your rating choice from that flag.

No advertising SDK or raw spatial recording

These native versions contain no advertising, attribution, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK and do not request App Tracking Transparency permission. The app does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. The Mac and Apple Vision Pro versions do not request camera or microphone access. The Vision Pro game uses ordinary system-mediated window interaction; it does not request room scanning, raw eye-tracking data, or raw hand-tracking data. This does not describe or override processing performed independently by the operating system.

Information sent to Company or the website

If you email support, Company receives the email address, name, message, screenshots, attachments, device details, and purchase information you choose to provide. Send only what is needed for your request. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or another person's private information without authority.

When you visit a Hillfort web page, the website infrastructure may process ordinary request and security information such as IP address, requested page, request time, user agent and referrer. Company and its website, email and support providers use information they actually receive to deliver and maintain these services, respond to requests, address technical or security problems, and meet legal obligations. Native gameplay counters are not joined to these website requests by the app.

Company may disclose information it lawfully holds to service providers needed for those purposes, professional advisers, Apple when relevant to a request, or authorities and other parties when legally required or permitted. This notice does not authorize unrelated marketing, publication of private support correspondence, or access to your device's private saves. Company is based in Tennessee, United States; Company and provider processing may occur in the United States or other countries where the relevant provider operates, subject to applicable legal safeguards.

Retention, reset, and deletion

Local game data remains according to the app's behavior, your actions, and the operating system. Reset campaign progress clears campaign stars, records, and the saved run in that native edition, after you return Home and confirm. Audio and accessibility preferences, earned Hero and tower development, Crystals, and purchases are kept. It is not deletion of all local data: purchase-recovery records, other earned development, cached friend snapshots, and separate product counters can remain. Other progress-state choices may return to their defaults.

Removing an app is not a promise that the operating system removes every associated preference, backup, Apple purchase or Game Center record. Company cannot remotely retrieve, export, correct, or erase your local saves. Contact support for help identifying the relevant app data before deleting anything you may want to keep. Apple controls Apple-account data and system backups; another player controls data already delivered to that player.

Company retains information it actually receives for only as long as reasonably needed for the support, website-operation, security, accounting, legal-compliance, or other stated purpose, including any required retention period or valid legal hold. Periods vary by record and obligation. To ask what Company holds, request deletion, or raise a retention question, email the contact below. A legal obligation may require retention of particular records even when other information can be deleted.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can play solo without a Company account and with Game Center off, decline friend access, choose whether to share or contact support, use the specific campaign reset, and manage Apple permissions and services through Apple settings. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of Company-held personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent for future processing; or appeal a response. Contacting Company does not waive a right to contact a competent privacy authority or use another legal remedy.

Send a request or appeal to dean@myworkingmemory.ai and identify the edition and request. Company may reasonably verify identity or an agent's authority and will handle the request under the law that applies. If a child has sent personal information directly to Company, a parent or guardian can contact us for review and any required deletion. Apple account, parental-control, and purchase-approval settings remain available through Apple.

Security and changes

Local app storage and Apple account services do not eliminate every risk of loss, unauthorized access, or interruption. Protect your device, account, and backups. This notice does not promise unbreakable security, a particular encryption method, or recovery of every damaged save. Company will provide security-incident notices and safeguards required by applicable law for information it controls.

Future material changes in native processing require an updated notice and any additional notice, choice, or consent the law requires. This page is a description of processing, not consent to a new or unrelated data use. The iPhone/iPad policy below does not activate iCloud syncing in either native edition.

Retained iPhone and iPad privacy notice

The following text is retained for Hillfort on iPhone and iPad and its associated services. Its iCloud mirroring, legacy-purchase, and version-specific statements do not describe the native Mac or Apple Vision Pro apps. Its dated release-status notice is not a new announcement of current store availability. The native notice above governs the native behavior described there; existing iPhone/iPad promises are unchanged.

Effective date: September 5, 2026 | Last updated: September 5, 2026

Version notice — September 5, 2026. Hillfort 1.0 is the released version. Version 1.1 and Ashfall Chronicle are being prepared, not yet publicly released. The new save, multiplayer, reminder, sharing, and purchase behavior below describes version 1.1 and applies only when you use that build and an available feature. Updating this notice does not activate those features on an older installation or authorize an undisclosed use of earlier data.

1. Scope and Who We Are

Myworkingmemory LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") provides Hillfort: Tower Defense TD (the "App"), Hillfort support, and the Hillfort pages on myworkingmemory.ai (together, the "Services"). This Policy explains what information the App, Company, Apple, and other players may handle when you use those Services. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's own notices and terms.

Older installations. The version 1.0 notice described local settings, progress, earlier purchase entitlements, and a rating-request flag; optional Game Center identifiers, scores, achievements, and two-player match commands; Apple purchase processing; and information you send to support or expose in a website request. Those earlier disclosures did not describe the new 1.1 Ashfall reminder counters, expanded multiplayer features, or automatic private-iCloud save mirroring described here. An operating-system backup is separate from in-app iCloud mirroring. Contact us for an earlier notice or a question about your installed version; earlier processing remains subject to its applicable notice and law.

2. The Short Version

Hillfort requires no Company account. Version 1.1 preserves the free original 12-mission campaign. Its only product offered to new customers is the permanent, non-consumable Ashfall Chronicle: 24 additional campaign missions (Missions 13–36) and three Ashfall story battles. There is no Ashfall trial, new paid currency, paid retry, or paid combat-power boost. An older installation may still show earlier products. Apple processes purchases and shows the localized price.

The App keeps detailed game data on your device and, when iCloud is available, automatically mirrors two save files to your private Apple iCloud key-value store. Company does not operate an account or server that receives those saves. Game Center is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, Apple and participating players process the limited identity, fortress, match, leaderboard, and achievement data described below.

Version 1.1 contains no advertising, attribution, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDK; does not request App Tracking Transparency permission; and does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Bounded purchase-journey and sharing counters and a reminder-frequency record are stored on the device and are not transmitted to Company.

3. Information Stored on Your Device and in Private iCloud

The App may store the following game information in Apple-provided local storage:

  • settings and accessibility choices, including audio, haptics, speed, captions, motion, flashing, rating-prompt state, and whether you enabled Game Center;
  • campaign and saved-run state, battle results, stars, records, difficulty, Daily Challenge and Endless results, achievements, tutorials, and other gameplay history;
  • Keep progression, tower mastery, Heroes, relics, loadouts, cosmetic fortress choices, earned Crystals, and other items or rewards obtained through play;
  • current and legacy purchase-entitlement, transaction-recovery, refund, and value-delivery records used to restore valid rights and avoid duplicate grants;
  • a generated app-scoped writer token, revisions, timestamps, and merge records used to reconcile saves; and
  • limited snapshots received from Game Center players you have previously matched with, as described in Section 5.

When you are signed into iCloud and Apple's iCloud key-value store is available, the App automatically mirrors its two primary encoded save files to your private iCloud container so your save can be recovered or merged across your Apple devices. Apple processes that copy under your Apple account and settings. Company does not have a Company server, dashboard, or account through which it can retrieve or inspect your private save.

The separate device-only counters and reminder record described in Section 6 are not included in those two mirrored save files. Apple operating-system or computer backups may nevertheless include App storage according to your backup settings.

The in-app Reset all progress control resets the categories described by its confirmation screen and writes the reset state through the save system. It does not promise to erase every App-related record, purchase record, legacy recovery fact, Apple-held Game Center record, App Store record, device or computer backup, website log, or support message. Deleting the App removes its local container subject to iOS behavior, but does not by itself promise deletion of private iCloud data or other Apple-held data. Manage Apple-held data through your Apple account, device settings, and Apple support.

4. In-App Purchases and App Store Data

Apple's StoreKit supplies product information, localized prices, purchase results, verified entitlements, refunds, reversals, and transaction information needed to deliver or revoke purchased value. The App stores limited entitlement and recovery records locally and in its private iCloud save. Company does not receive your full payment-card number.

Apple may provide Company with App Store Connect reports and records such as aggregate downloads, sales, proceeds, product performance, refunds, diagnostics, and transaction information. The scope and availability of those reports are controlled by Apple. Company may use information it lawfully receives to operate the product, account for sales and taxes, address support and refunds, investigate fraud, comply with platform rules, and protect legal rights.

5. Optional Game Center, Friends, Co-op, and Rivals

Game Center is an Apple service. Hillfort does not activate its Game Center features unless you turn them on in the App. Apple authenticates the Game Center account and provides the App with a scoped player identifier and display name. The App may submit campaign-star totals, Endless and Daily Challenge results, other configured leaderboard scores, and achievement progress.

If you expressly ask Hillfort to load Game Center friends, Apple may present a permission request and return the friends who also permit access. Hillfort uses that list for read-only Hillfort visits and invitations. The App does not read your device address book.

When you join a two-to-four-player co-operative defence or a one-versus-one Rival Trial, Apple carries data among participating devices. Depending on the mode and stage, that data can include:

  • the match plan, Game Center player identifier and display name, chosen Hero, readiness, connection state, and match result;
  • a read-only fortress snapshot containing Keep level, campaign stars, boss trophies, co-op and Rival victories, up to six Hero kinds, fortress cosmetic identity, and a publication time;
  • for co-op, deterministic player commands, game ticks, readiness, checksums, and synchronization or settlement information; and
  • for Rival play, progress and final scores on the standardized board.

Other participants can receive the data needed for that session and may retain information their device received. Hillfort may retain a received fortress snapshot in the local/private-iCloud save for later read-only visits until it is replaced or the relevant saved data is reset. The App provides no chat, voice, direct messaging, or free-form user post.

Turning Game Center off stops future Game Center activity initiated by Hillfort while it remains off. It does not delete data Apple or another player already received, prior leaderboard or achievement records, or a snapshot already cached in a save. Use Apple's Game Center settings and support for Apple-held information. Company does not control Apple's or another player's retention.

6. Device-Only Reminders, Product Events, Sharing, and Ratings

Version 1.1 stores bounded integer counters for Ashfall offer opening, dismissal and availability; purchase, restore, and refund outcomes; and native sharing opening, completion or cancellation. Counters are separated by a fixed source such as Home, the Chronicle road, a battle result, Settings, or Armory. A purchase-related counter accepts only the current Ashfall product. These counters contain no name, Game Center identifier, device identifier, transaction identifier, price, recipient, message text, URL, rating choice, or recorded gameplay.

A separate on-device reminder record stores its format version, the number of automatic Ashfall offers already presented (capped at two), and the completed-win counts last considered or used for a reminder. It prevents repeated interruptions and does not establish purchase ownership. Resetting gameplay progress does not reset that reminder cap. These records are not sent to Company or an analytics vendor and are not a report of customer conversion, sales, or revenue.

First-launch, tutorial, individual battle, catalogue-spend, and multiplayer-command events do not enter those persisted product counters. A development build may temporarily keep broader test events in a bounded in-memory history. Detailed progress is separately stored as described in Section 3.

Share with a friend. If you choose Share, Apple shows its native sharing interface. Hillfort supplies a predefined message and its public App Store link; you choose the destination and whether to send. Hillfort does not upload your contacts or automatically send a message. The selected app or recipient handles the material under its own terms. A completion signal records only what the system reports, not proof that the recipient read the message or downloaded Hillfort.

After a genuine gameplay milestone, the App may ask Apple to show the standard App Store rating prompt. Apple controls that interface. Hillfort stores a flag in its save so it does not repeatedly request a rating; that save may be mirrored in private iCloud as described above. Company does not receive your rating choice from that flag.

7. Support, Website, and Information You Choose to Send

If you email support, Company receives the email address, name and message content you provide, plus any screenshots, attachments, device details, purchase details, or other information you choose to include. Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, sensitive information, or another person's private information unless it is necessary and lawful to do so.

When you open a Hillfort web page, the website's infrastructure may process ordinary request and security data such as IP address, time, requested page, user agent, referrer, and operational logs. Company and its providers may use that information to deliver, secure, debug, and maintain the pages and comply with law. The current App does not join those website requests to the device-only product-event counter.

8. How Information Is Used

Company uses information it actually receives only as reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Services; deliver purchases and valid legacy rights; respond to support, privacy, safety, and legal requests; maintain security and business records; detect or address fraud, abuse, chargebacks, technical failures, and entitlement errors; measure aggregate App Store performance; comply with law and platform rules; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, compliance with legal obligations, protection of rights and safety, or consent. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

More specifically, requested support and delivery of a purchase may be needed to perform our agreement; security, debugging, responding to ordinary enquiries, and aggregate product planning may serve legitimate operational interests; and tax, accounting, legal process, and required records may be handled to comply with law. Where consent is required for a separate activity, this Policy alone does not supply it. We do not use these records for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

9. Disclosure and Service Providers

Company may disclose information it lawfully holds to Apple and platform providers; website, email, security, support, and business-operations providers; professional advisors, auditors, and insurers; courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when required or permitted by law; and an acquirer, successor, financing source, or transaction participant subject to appropriate protections. Company may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent.

Apple separately processes App Store, StoreKit, Game Center, iCloud, device, diagnostic, and account information under Apple's policies. Players separately receive the limited Game Center session and fortress data described above. Company is not the controller of Apple's independent processing and cannot promise how another player will handle data already delivered to that player's device.

10. No Sale, Behavioral-Advertising Sharing, or Cross-App Tracking

Company does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use personal information for targeted advertising, or permit third-party advertising in version 1.1. It does not offer a financial incentive in exchange for personal information. Because these activities do not occur, the App does not provide sale/share/targeted-advertising opt-out controls. If practices change, Company will update the disclosures and provide any legally required notice, choice, or consent before the change applies.

11. Retention

Device and private-iCloud game data remains according to App behavior, your choices, and Apple's systems. Company keeps support, website, App Store, security, tax, accounting, legal, and business records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, a valid legal hold, or an applicable limitation or retention period. Retention periods vary by record and legal obligation. Company may retain information that has been aggregated or deidentified so it no longer reasonably identifies you, subject to applicable law.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You can play solo without a Company account and with Game Center off. You can turn Hillfort's Game Center features off, decline friend-list access, use the in-app progress reset for the data it identifies, manage iCloud and Game Center in Apple settings, restore eligible purchases through StoreKit, and decide what to include in a support request.

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information Company holds; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of covered sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; and appeal a denied privacy request. Company will not discriminate against you for exercising a non-waivable privacy right.

Submit a request or appeal to dean@myworkingmemory.ai and identify Hillfort and the request. Company may reasonably verify your identity and authority, and may deny or limit a request where permitted by law. Because Company cannot access your device or private iCloud save through a Company account, it cannot export, correct, or erase those records for you. Direct Apple-account and Apple-service requests to Apple.

An authorized agent may contact us with evidence of authority. We respond and provide any required appeal process within the period applicable law requires. You may also complain to your competent privacy regulator or other authority, including the supervisory authority where you live or work when that right applies. Contacting us does not waive that right.

13. Security

Company uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information it controls. No device, transmission, storage method, platform, provider, or security measure is guaranteed to be perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, passcode, Apple account, backups, network, and Game Center identity.

We assess suspected security incidents involving information we control and give notices to affected people or authorities when required by law. This is not a promise that every incident involves Company-held data or triggers the same notification rule.

14. Children

The Services are a general-audience strategy game and are not directed to children under 13. Company does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through the Services. Parents and guardians control the child's Apple account, purchases, Game Center permissions, and device settings. If you believe a child sent personal information directly to Company, contact us so we can review and, where required, delete it. This section does not replace any parental-consent or other obligation that applicable law or Apple may impose.

15. International Use

Company is based in Tennessee, United States. The App may be available in more than one storefront. Information Company receives may be processed in the United States or another country where Apple or a service provider operates. Privacy protections may differ by location. Company will use legally required safeguards for covered transfers and will not use this Policy to waive mandatory rights available where you live.

16. Changes to This Policy

Company may update this Policy as the App, law, or platform rules change. The posted last-updated date identifies the current version. Company will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change where required by law. Earlier processing remains governed by the policy and law applicable when it occurred.
