How BylineKit works
BylineKit is a local-first creator-photo utility that lets you add a visible byline or watermark, set creator and copyright metadata, and create a new marked copy.
- Choose a photo you have the right to use.
- Enter the creator, byline, copyright, credit, or rights text you want.
- Design and preview the visible watermark or byline.
- Create a new marked copy with supported creator metadata.
- Save or share the new copy only when you choose.
The App does not require a Company account or upload your photo content to Company. Apple-managed monthly and annual subscriptions unlock paid access, and Apple shows the current localized price and renewal terms before purchase.
Privacy and analytics controls
Photos, creator and copyright text, photo metadata, and output copies stay on your device unless you deliberately save, share, use an Apple service, or send material to support.
Optional product analytics is off by default. Only after you opt in does the App create a random Analytics ID and send allow-listed, non-content events. Analytics excludes photos, thumbnails, filenames, paths, URLs, hashes, metadata field names and values, EXIF or GPS data, coordinates, photo dates, user-entered text, output content, and Apple transaction identifiers. GeoIP enrichment, person profiles, session replay, and autocapture are disabled.
You can turn analytics off at any time. Before turning it off, copy the Analytics ID if you may want existing events deleted. Email the ID to dean@myworkingmemory.ai to request installation-level analytics deletion.
Before contacting support
- Confirm your device is running a supported iOS or iPadOS version.
- Close and reopen BylineKit.
- If another app does not display embedded creator metadata, inspect the output with software that supports the relevant metadata fields. The visible watermark remains separate from embedded metadata.
- Remember that Company cannot access or recover Private Local Content stored only on your device.
- Do not email sensitive photos, metadata, coordinates, client information, screenshots, or other private information unless you want Company to review it.
