Keep your existing document retrieval. Send its candidate passages with the user's question to POST /rerank through RapidAPI (/v1/rerank on the direct origin), then use the returned indexes to display the top articles.
A request accepts up to 32 text documents and 64 KiB of JSON. Each query–document pair has a conservative 7,168 UTF-8 byte limit. The service handles one inference at a time with a 60-second timeout.
Test with your own key in the PlaygroundDownload the three Postman request examples. Import the collection into Postman, use your own subscriber key locally, and send one request at a time, at least 60 seconds apart. The download contains no key.
Use it from an MCP client.
- Choose access on RapidAPI and use your own subscriber key.
- Open the Playground and choose Configure MCP.
- Use its generated configuration in your MCP client. Keep the subscriber key in your client's credential settings, then test a small query and document list.
An operator tested the MCP protocol with a request. Installing and verifying a connection in your desktop client remains a separate step.
