Myworkingmemory LLC
Pinned Stickies Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: August 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Myworkingmemory LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information in connection with Pinned Stickies for Mac and Apple Vision Pro (the “App”), the myworkingmemory.ai pages that link to this Policy, and support (together, the “Services”). The Pinned Stickies Terms of Use are a separate agreement.
1. Scope and product summary
Pinned Stickies is an Apple-platform productivity app for creating and keeping rich-text sticky notes visible on a Mac or in the user’s space on Apple Vision Pro. The App is available through Apple’s App Store as a free download and offers an optional auto-renewable Annual Pro subscription.
The current App operates as follows:
- sticky-note text, formatting, images, titles, colors, workspace state, groups, and related settings are stored and processed on the user’s device in the App’s sandbox container;
- the Company provides no account, sign-in, cloud storage, cloud synchronization, or remote note-processing service;
- the App contains no advertising, tracking, attribution, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting software;
- dictation uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition and is disabled when the required on-device English speech model is unavailable;
- Apple processes App Store purchases and subscription status; and
- the App does not send note content, images, dictation audio, or usage activity to the Company.
This Policy does not apply to independently controlled services that publish their own privacy notices, including Apple, the App Store, macOS, visionOS, Vercel, email providers, file providers, backup services, websites, and apps or people with whom you choose to share content.
2. Information handled on your device
2.1 Notes, images, and App data
The App stores your notes in its private application container on your device. Rich-text notes may contain text, formatting, lists, checkboxes, and images that you paste, drag, or select from Photos or Files. The App also stores titles, colors, workspace or window state, feature state, and other settings needed to restore your workspace. The Company does not receive this content.
2.2 Preferences and user-selected folders
The App uses Apple platform preferences to remember settings such as appearance, workspace behavior, and keyboard commands. If you choose a folder for exports or linked folders, the operating system grants the App access to that folder. The App stores a security-scoped bookmark in its local preferences so it can return to the folder for the purpose you selected. The App does not scan unrelated folders.
2.3 Dictation
If you use the Pro dictation feature, the App asks the operating system for microphone and speech-recognition permission. Microphone audio is processed as you speak and is not recorded or saved by the App. The App requires Apple’s on-device recognition for English and does not silently fall back to server recognition. The resulting text becomes part of the sticky stored on your device.
2.4 Sharing, export, and backups
Content leaves the App only when you direct an action outside its private storage, such as copying, exporting, importing, choosing a linked folder, using the system sharing interface, opening a Company webpage, or sending a support email. The recipient app, person, folder, file provider, device backup, or cloud service then handles the content under its own terms. Deleting the App or a sticky may not delete copies in Time Machine or another backup, an exported file, a shared message, a recipient’s system, or another location you control. The App does not provide automatic cloud synchronization; moving a library between devices requires an export and import that you direct.
3. Purchases and subscription information
Apple independently processes the App download, Annual Pro subscription, payment credentials, tax, receipts, renewals, cancellation, refunds, and purchase history under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. The Company does not receive your Apple Account password or full payment-card number.
Through StoreKit, the App receives the Pro product identifier and limited transaction and entitlement status needed to display the localized offer, complete or restore a purchase, and keep Pro features active while the subscription is valid. Apple may provide the Company with sales, subscription, refund, territory, and product reporting. This information does not include your note content.
4. Support and legal correspondence
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to attach, such as a screenshot or diagnostic detail. We use that information to respond, investigate the issue, protect the Services, keep necessary business records, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Please do not send confidential, regulated, health, biometric, financial-account, government-identifier, or another person’s personal information unless it is necessary for your request.
5. Website delivery information
The legal and support pages are published from GitHub and hosted by Vercel. Vercel processes standard web-request and security information, such as IP address, request time, page requested, referring page, browser user-agent, and related logs, to deliver and protect the pages. GitHub hosts the public source files. These providers act under their own terms and privacy notices. The App contains no Company analytics code, and these webpages contain no advertising or tracking script added by the Company.
6. Apple diagnostics
Apple may collect App Store, device, purchase, and diagnostic information independently under its terms and your device settings. If you choose to share analytics or crash information with app developers, Apple may make a diagnostic report available to the Company. The App contains no separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
7. How we use information
We use only the limited information described in Sections 3 through 6 to provide purchases and entitlement access, deliver the legal and support pages, respond to requests, diagnose defects, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law and valid process, enforce the Terms, protect rights and safety, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We do not use note content or dictation audio because the Company does not receive it.
8. Disclosure
We may disclose information we actually hold:
- to providers that deliver the website, email, support, or business infrastructure for us;
- to Apple for purchase, entitlement, refund, fraud-control, and platform functions;
- when you direct or consent to the disclosure;
- when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid process; protect rights, safety, security, or property; investigate fraud or abuse; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or due diligence, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information for money, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use personal information for targeted advertising, or track users across other companies’ apps or websites.
9. Retention and deletion
- Notes and App settings: remain on your device until you edit or delete them, reset a setting, remove a folder permission, or uninstall the App, subject to copies in backups or locations outside the App.
- Dictation audio: is not recorded or retained by the App.
- Apple purchase information: is handled under Apple’s retention rules; the App reads current entitlement information as needed.
- Support and legal correspondence: is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain security and business records, meet legal duties, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- Website request information: is retained under the hosting provider’s settings, terms, and operational requirements.
The Company cannot retrieve or delete a sticky stored only on your device because it does not possess the sticky. You control that copy through the App and your device.
10. Security
The App uses Apple’s App Sandbox, stores its library in its private container, requests access only to content and folders the user selects, and limits dictation to on-device recognition. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information the Company actually holds. No device, storage system, email, website, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, login credentials, backups, exported files, shared copies, and recipients you choose.
11. Privacy rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information the Company holds, including access, correction, deletion, portability, withdrawal of consent, and appeal. Email dean@myworkingmemory.ai and describe Pinned Stickies, your request, and the information needed to locate the relevant record. We may verify identity and authority as permitted by law. For note content stored only on your device, use the App and your own storage or backup controls.
12. Children
The Services are general-audience productivity tools and are not directed to children under 13. The App does not send note content or other personal information to the Company. If you believe a child sent personal information to us through support or another Company-controlled channel, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
13. Security incidents and legal requests
We investigate suspected incidents affecting information the Company holds and provide notices when applicable law requires. We may preserve, access, or disclose such information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law or valid process; protect rights, safety, security, or property; prevent fraud or abuse; enforce agreements; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect product, legal, provider, or operational changes. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when applicable law requires. We will not use a silent policy change to authorize a materially different use of personal information when law requires more.
15. Contact
