Overstrike Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Myworkingmemory LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Overstrike (the "App") and the myworkingmemory.ai website pages for Overstrike (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains the information the App and Company handle, why it is handled, when it may be disclosed, and the choices available to you.

This Policy is a privacy notice, not a promise that every privacy law applies and, to the extent permitted by law, not a standalone contract, warranty, or source of remedies. The Overstrike Terms of Service govern contractual, warranty, liability, and dispute matters. Nothing in either document limits a non-waivable privacy or consumer right.

2. Short Version

Overstrike is an Apple-platform utility for Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro that compares two versions of a document and produces a redline PDF in which deleted text is struck through in red and inserted text is underlined in blue, offered as a free download with Monthly Core and an optional Pro Tools purchase. It has no Company account and no Company server. The documents you compare are read and compared entirely on your device, and neither they nor the redlines you produce are transmitted to Company or to anyone else, so Company cannot read them. The App uses the network for one purpose only: to reach Apple's App Store so purchases can be loaded, purchased, verified, managed, and restored. Your documents are never sent over that connection.

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, does not include analytics SDKs, does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, does not use cross-app tracking, does not collect biometric identifiers, and does not provide health, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional services.

3. Product and Privacy Posture

The App is designed as follows:

• Apple App Store distribution as a free download with Monthly Core, an auto-renewable monthly subscription, and Pro Tools, an optional non-consumable purchase, at the prices shown in your local App Store storefront;
• Monthly Core and Pro Tools are purchased and billed through your Apple Account; Monthly Core is renewed and cancelled there; Company does not receive your full payment-card number, bank-account number, or Apple Account credentials;
• no Company account, sign-in, or public profile;
• only the documents you explicitly add through the system file picker or, where supported, by dragging them into the App are opened, under operating-system user-selected file access;
• document text, document contents, and the redlines produced from them are processed on your device; the App does not upload or transmit them to Company or any third party;
• the App connects to the network only to reach Apple's App Store for purchase loading, purchase, verification, management, and restore, and never to transmit a document;
• the App keeps no usage counters, no history of the documents you have compared, and no analytics of any kind;
• no third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking; and
• the App is not a health, medical, mental-health, biometric, financial, legal, employment, housing, education, or safety-critical service, and a redline it produces is not legal advice.

Different App features or data practices in future versions may require different disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules, and this policy would be updated accordingly.

4. Information You Provide or Store Locally

When you use the App, only the documents you explicitly add through the system file picker or, where supported, by dragging them into the App are opened, and they are read and compared entirely on your device under operating-system user-selected file access. Document contents never leave your device, and none of this information is transmitted to Company.

The information stored on your device is limited to:

• ordinary operating-system window, scene, and application state;
• a temporary copy of the redline being displayed, written inside the App's sandboxed temporary folder so it can be shown on screen, and discarded when you run another comparison or quit the App;
• your verified Monthly Core status and Pro Tools ownership, which the App reads from Apple rather than maintaining a Company account or customer database; and
• any redline PDF you deliberately save, in the location you choose.

The App keeps no record of which documents you compared, no usage counters, and no analytics. This content stays on your device unless you choose to share, copy, export, back up, or transmit it using device features you control.

5. Apple Purchases and Payment Data

The App is a free download from the Apple App Store. Comparing documents and saving a redline require Monthly Core, an auto-renewable monthly subscription purchased through your Apple Account. Pro Tools is an optional, separately billed non-consumable purchase that is purchased once and does not expire. Pro Tools remains owned if Monthly Core ends, but its four features require active Monthly Core and become usable again if Core restarts. Apple processes both payments, and prices, currencies, taxes, and fees vary by storefront. Company never receives, stores, or processes your payment-card number, and Company does not learn your Apple Account credentials.

The App asks Apple whether your Apple Account currently holds active Monthly Core and owns Pro Tools. Company does not receive a copy of that answer, and the App does not maintain a Company account or customer purchase database. Monthly Core is managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Restore Purchases asks Apple to restore eligible verified purchases.

Depending on Apple's systems and your Apple privacy and diagnostic settings, Apple may make limited App Store Connect records available to Company, such as units, proceeds, refunds, territories, app versions, device categories, subscription records, crash or diagnostic reports, and aggregate performance data. Those records do not include your document contents, full payment-card number, bank-account number, or Apple Account password. Apple determines what it collects and provides under its own terms and privacy policy.

6. Product, Network, and Hosting Data

The App connects to the network for one purpose: to reach Apple's App Store so Monthly Core and Pro Tools can be loaded, purchased, verified, managed, and restored. That connection carries no document, no document text, no file name, and no redline. Company operates no server for the App, and the App sends nothing to Company.

The myworkingmemory.ai pages for the App are static pages served by a hosting provider. Like any web host, it may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, and requested path for delivery, security, and abuse prevention. Visiting those pages is separate from using the App.

7. Support Communications

If you email Company for support, Company receives your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include. Do not send confidential, privileged, personal, or sensitive documents; a description of the issue is normally enough. If you choose to send a file or other information, Company may use it to respond, investigate the reported issue, protect the Services, and maintain reasonable legal and business records.

8. Apple and App Store Data

Apple independently operates the App Store, StoreKit, Apple Account, billing, subscription, in-app purchase, download, refund, fraud-prevention, and platform-diagnostic services. Apple may collect and process account, device, transaction, purchase, diagnostic, and related information under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Company does not control Apple's practices.

Company may receive the limited App Store records described above, but never receives document contents through StoreKit or App Store Connect.

9. Information We Do Not Collect Through Ordinary App Use

Unless the App is changed and this policy is updated, Company does not collect through ordinary App use:

• your document contents, document text, file names, or file paths;
• the redlines you generate or any record of which documents you compared;
• usage counters, event logs, or analytics of any kind;
• Company account usernames or passwords;
• full payment-card numbers from Apple purchases;
• contacts;
• precise location;
• camera data;
• microphone data;
• biometric identifiers or biometric information;
• health or medical data;
• government identifiers;
• financial account numbers;
• advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking;
• SMS or phone-call data;
• a public social profile or public gallery; or
• data for sale to data brokers.

10. How We Use Information

Because the App does not transmit documents or usage data to Company, Company uses only the limited information it actually receives, such as support communications, ordinary website-hosting data, and records Apple makes available, to:

• respond to support, legal, safety, and privacy requests;
• troubleshoot bugs, crashes, and compatibility issues;
• operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Services;
• enforce the Terms and protect Company Parties, users, and platforms;
• comply with law, tax and accounting duties, app-store rules, and legal process; and
• make business decisions about reliability, pricing, App Store compliance, and product direction.

11. How We Share Information

Company may disclose the limited information it receives to:

• service providers and processors that host the website, provide email, or support Company systems;
• Apple and platform providers for App Store distribution, purchases, refunds, app review, and fraud prevention;
• professional advisors, insurers, auditors, and business-operations providers;
• authorities, courts, regulators, or litigants where legally required or reasonably necessary;
• acquirers, successors, financing parties, or transaction parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or asset sale; and
• other parties with your direction or consent.

Company does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Advertising and Tracking

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising. The App does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission because it is not designed to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. Different advertising, tracking, sale, share, or behavioral-advertising practices would require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.

13. Retention

Support communications, aggregate App Store sales and subscription reports, other limited records Apple makes available, website-hosting logs, legal records, and business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, tax, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and App Store compliance. The App does not itself send Company document information or usage records. Your preferences and local records remain on your device according to your device settings and choices. Company may retain deidentified, aggregated, or non-personal information.

14. Security

Company uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed for the Services' size, nature, and data posture. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and Company does not guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for your device, passcode, Apple Account, backups, cloud settings, and network security.

Company may investigate suspected security incidents, preserve relevant records, take reasonable containment measures, and notify affected persons or authorities if and when required by applicable law.

15. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to Company, contact Company so the request can be reviewed under applicable law.

16. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, or restrict certain personal information, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. The App does not sell personal information, use targeted advertising, or perform qualifying profiling.

Send a request or an appeal of a denied request to dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Company may reasonably verify your identity and authority, request information needed to evaluate the request, or deny or limit a request where applicable law permits. Company will respond and provide any legally required appeal process within the time required by applicable law, including 45 days where the Tennessee Information Protection Act applies.

Some state privacy laws apply only above revenue, volume, or data-sale thresholds, and Company may not be subject to every law at all times. Company may voluntarily honor a request when no law requires it, but doing so does not represent that a particular law applies or create a continuing contractual obligation. Because App documents and local records remain on your device, Company cannot access, correct, export, or delete them for you.

17. California Privacy Notes

The App does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use third-party ad tracking. Because the App is not a browser-based service, browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change App behavior. Different web tracking, advertising, sale, or share practices would require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.

18. Consumer Health, Biometric, and Sensitive Data

The Services are not designed to collect consumer health data, biometric identifiers, biometric information, precise location, children's data, financial account data, government identifiers, or other sensitive data through ordinary use. Do not use the Services as a medical, mental-health, therapeutic, biometric, emergency, legal, financial, employment, housing, education, insurance, criminal-justice, or safety-critical tool. Different regulated features would require updated notices, consents, retention schedules, or deletion rights as required by applicable law or platform rules.

19. International Use

The Services are operated from the United States and the App is offered in selected App Store territories. Ordinary App use does not transfer your document content internationally because documents remain on your device and are not sent to Company. If you contact Company from outside the United States, your support communications may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.

20. Changes

Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is identified by an updated effective date. Material data-practice changes are handled as required by applicable law and platform rules.
