My Notes & Cards is published by Myworkingmemory LLC in Nashville, Tennessee. This policy is written in plain language. In short: your note content never leaves your device for us, and there is no account, profile, or directly identifying information to collect. The app does collect a small amount of non-linked, non-tracking usage data, described under Product analytics below.
My Notes & Cards runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. The same statements below apply on every one of them.
Your notes, cards, photos, drawings, and pinned locations are stored locally on your device. If you choose to use Apple system services such as App Store purchases, device backups, Photos, Maps, location services, or printing, those services are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
Everything you create in My Notes & Cards — sections, cards, text notes, checklists, photos, sketches, and pinned locations — is stored locally on your device. Your data lives in the app's private storage unless it is included in an Apple device backup controlled by you. We never see it. We never receive it. We have no way to access it through My Notes & Cards.
My Notes & Cards requires an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's in-app purchase system before app use. My Notes & Cards Plus is offered with monthly and yearly subscription options, with pricing for your App Store country or region shown by Apple before purchase.
The app checks your App Store subscription entitlement on your device to determine whether app access is unlocked. This check is handled through Apple's StoreKit system.
Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, taxes, regional pricing, and payment information are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. My Notes & Cards does not receive or store your credit card number, payment details, billing address, or Apple ID password.
My Notes & Cards does use limited product interaction analytics, which is not in the list above because it is something the app does do. It is described in full under Product analytics below, including the two identifiers involved.
My Notes & Cards may ask for the following permissions only when you use specific features. Permission requests are handled by the operating system, and you can change them at any time in Settings or System Settings:
Each permission is used only to perform the action you asked for. My Notes & Cards does not use these permissions to track you, profile you, or send your note content to our servers.
My Notes & Cards sends limited product interaction analytics to PostHog, such as app opens, app version, build number, platform, and whether a subscription purchase or restore succeeded or failed. We do not send section names, card text, checklist text, photo contents, sketch contents, pinned-place notes, filenames, or printed card contents to PostHog.
Two things are sent that identify a copy of the app rather than a person, and we want to be exact about them:
Analytics runs only in the released App Store version. Development and Simulator builds send nothing at all.
To ask what is stored under your installation identifier, or to have it deleted, email dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Deleting the app also ends any further collection from that device.
Drawing with your finger or Apple Pencil does not require an additional permission. Printing through Apple system printing does not require an additional app permission.
Because My Notes & Cards stores your content locally, your cards remain on your device until you delete them or delete the app. You can delete individual cards and sections inside the app. You can also delete the app from your device to remove its local app data, subject to any Apple backups or Apple services you control.
You can revoke app permissions such as Camera, Photos, and Location at any time in Settings or System Settings.
If you email us for support, we receive the email address and message you choose to send. We use that information only to respond to your request. Support emails are not used for advertising or tracking.
My Notes & Cards is rated 4+ on the App Store. The app does not ask for or collect names, email addresses, ages, account details, or note content from children or anyone else. What every released copy does send is the non-linked usage data described under Product analytics: product-interaction events such as app opens, section and card actions, and paywall, purchase, or restore outcomes; the app version, build number, bundle identifier, and platform; and a random identifier belonging to that installation. It is not linked to a person, it is not used for tracking or advertising, and it is not used to build a profile.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store listing when appropriate.
