Myworkingmemory LLC

BatchWarden Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026 | Company: Myworkingmemory LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company

1. Who We Are

Myworkingmemory LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates BatchWarden (the "App") and the myworkingmemory.ai website pages for BatchWarden (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App and Company handle, how it is used, how it is shared, and what choices you have.

2. Short Version

BatchWarden is a paid-upfront macOS utility that renames batches of files you select, using ordered pasted names, token patterns, and professional presets, with collision preflight, a transactional apply step, rollback, and session undo. It has no Company account and no Company server, has no network entitlement, and makes no network connections. Your preferences and any local records described below are stored on your Mac and are not transmitted to Company, so Company cannot read them.

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, does not include analytics SDKs, does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, does not use cross-app tracking, does not collect biometric identifiers, and does not provide health, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional services.

3. Product and Privacy Posture

The App is designed as follows:

  • Mac App Store distribution as a one-time purchase, with the price shown in your local App Store storefront;
  • no subscriptions, recurring charges, or in-app purchases;
  • no Company account, sign-in, or public profile;
  • you select or drop folders, and the App loads their regular top-level files under macOS user-selected file access; you can remove unwanted rows before applying a rename;
  • file names and file contents are processed entirely on your Mac and never leave it;
  • the App has no network entitlement and makes no network connections;
  • the anonymous local usage counters contain no file names, file contents, or personal information and are never transmitted;
  • no third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking; and
  • the App is not a health, medical, mental-health, biometric, financial, legal, employment, housing, education, or safety-critical service.

Different App features or data practices in future versions may require different disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules, and this policy would be updated accordingly.

4. Information You Provide or Store Locally

When you use the App, you select or drop folders and the App loads their regular top-level files under macOS user-selected file access. You can remove unwanted rows before applying a rename. Files are renamed entirely on your Mac. Your rename patterns, presets, and a small set of anonymous local usage counters are stored on your Mac. File names and file contents never leave your Mac, and none of this information is transmitted to Company.

If you explicitly enable optional local rename receipts in Settings, the App also writes a JSON file on your Mac containing the completion time, old and new filenames, count, outcome, and supported undo status for that completed batch. These receipts are not transmitted, are not audit or compliance records, and remain under your device control.

The information stored on your Mac includes:

  • your rename patterns and presets;
  • a small set of anonymous local usage counters (for example, how many rename operations completed) that contain no file names, file contents, or personal information;
  • only if you enable local rename receipts, the completion time, old and new filenames, count, outcome, and supported undo status for each completed batch; and

This content stays on your Mac unless you choose to share, copy, export, back up, or transmit it using device features you control.

5. One-Time Purchase and Apple Payment Data

The App is sold through the Apple App Store as a one-time purchase. Apple processes payment, and prices, currencies, taxes, and fees vary by storefront. Company does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple. Company may receive aggregated sales, refund, or download information from Apple, and may receive transaction identifiers as needed to investigate fraud, enforce Terms, comply with law, or maintain business records.

6. Product, Network, and Hosting Data

The App has no network entitlement and makes no network connections, so the App itself sends nothing to Company or to any third party. When you open the myworkingmemory.ai website pages for the App (such as this policy, the Terms, or the support page), the third-party hosting provider for that website may process standard server-log information, such as IP address, request time, and user agent, to serve and secure the pages. Those website logs are not linked to your use of the App.

7. Support Communications

If you email Company for support, Company receives your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include. Do not send confidential or sensitive information. Company uses support communications to answer you, fix problems, and keep business records.

8. Apple and App Store Data

Apple operates the App Store and processes your purchase, download, and any refund under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Company receives aggregate sales and performance reports from App Store Connect, not the contents of your Mac.

9. Information We Do Not Collect Through Ordinary App Use

Unless the App is changed and this policy is updated, Company does not collect through ordinary App use:

  • your file names, file contents, or file paths;
  • your rename patterns, presets, or local usage counters, which never leave your Mac;
  • Company account usernames or passwords;
  • full payment-card numbers from Apple purchases;
  • contacts;
  • precise location;
  • camera data;
  • microphone data;
  • biometric identifiers or biometric information;
  • health or medical data;
  • government identifiers;
  • financial account numbers;
  • advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking;
  • SMS or phone-call data;
  • a public social profile or public gallery; or
  • data for sale to data brokers.

10. How We Use Information

Because the App transmits nothing to Company, Company uses only the limited information it actually receives — support communications and Apple's aggregate reports — to:

  • respond to support, legal, safety, and privacy requests;
  • troubleshoot bugs, crashes, and compatibility issues you report;
  • enforce the Terms and protect Company Parties, users, and platforms;
  • comply with law, app-store rules, and legal process; and
  • make business decisions about maintenance, pricing, reliability, App Store compliance, and product direction.

11. How We Share Information

Company may disclose the limited information it receives to:

  • service providers and processors that host the website, provide email, or support Company systems;
  • Apple and platform providers for App Store distribution, purchases, refunds, app review, and fraud prevention;
  • professional advisors, insurers, auditors, and business-operations providers;
  • authorities, courts, regulators, or litigants where legally required or reasonably necessary;
  • acquirers, successors, financing parties, or transaction parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or asset sale; and
  • other parties with your direction or consent.

Company does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

12. Advertising and Tracking

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising. The App does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission because it is not designed to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. Different advertising, tracking, sale, share, or behavioral-advertising practices would require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.

13. Retention

Support records, Apple transaction identifiers, operational and website-hosting logs, legal records, and business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including App operation, support, security, tax, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and App Store compliance. Your preferences and local records remain on your Mac according to your device settings and choices. Company may retain deidentified, aggregated, or non-personal information.

14. Security

Company uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information appropriate for the Services' size and data posture. No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for your device, passcode, Apple account, backups, cloud settings, and network security.

15. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13. Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to Company, contact Company so the request can be reviewed under applicable law.

16. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, appeal, or opt out of certain processing. Some U.S. state privacy laws apply only above certain revenue, volume, or data-sale thresholds, and Company may not be covered by every state privacy law at all times. Company handles privacy requests as required by applicable law.

Send privacy requests to dean@myworkingmemory.ai. Company may need to verify your identity before responding, and handles non-discrimination obligations as required by applicable law. Because your preferences and local records are stored only on your Mac, Company cannot access, correct, export, or delete that local data for you; you control it through the App and your device settings.

17. California Privacy Notes

The App does not sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use third-party ad tracking. Because the App is not a browser-based service, browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change App behavior. Different web tracking, advertising, sale, or share practices would require updated disclosures, controls, or consents as required by applicable law or platform rules.

18. Consumer Health, Biometric, and Sensitive Data

The Services are not designed to collect consumer health data, biometric identifiers, biometric information, precise location, children's data, financial account data, government identifiers, or other sensitive data through ordinary use. Do not use the Services as a medical, mental-health, therapeutic, biometric, emergency, legal, financial, employment, housing, education, insurance, criminal-justice, or safety-critical tool. Different regulated features would require updated notices, consents, retention schedules, or deletion rights as required by applicable law or platform rules.

19. International Use

The Services are operated from the United States and are currently intended for distribution in the United States. Because the App stores your data on your Mac and sends nothing to Company, ordinary App use does not transfer your content internationally. If you contact Company from outside the United States, your support communications may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.

20. Changes

Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is identified by an updated effective date. Material data-practice changes are handled as required by applicable law and platform rules.
