Short Version

SketchNotes Whiteboard is designed as a local-first Mac whiteboard app. You can draw, type, add screenshots or images, create shapes and arrows, save boards, and export boards as PNG or PDF.

• Boards and app content are stored locally on your Mac unless you choose to save, export, or share them.
• The app does not send your board content to myworkingmemory LLC servers.
• Screen Recording permission is used only when you intentionally use the Screenshot tool to capture your screen into a board.
• Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
• myworkingmemory LLC does not receive or store your full payment card information.

2. What SketchNotes Whiteboard Does

SketchNotes Whiteboard is a Mac whiteboard app for visual notes. It helps users draw, type, add screenshots and images, create shapes, connect ideas with arrows and lines, erase board objects, save boards, and export boards as PNG or PDF.

The app does not require a cloud account, user account, login, registration, or app-controlled server account to use its core whiteboard functionality.

3. Information You Create in the App

When you use SketchNotes Whiteboard, you may create or add content such as:

• Whiteboard boards
• Drawings and freehand strokes
• Typed text
• Shapes, arrows, lines, fills, and visual marks
• Screenshots you capture into a board
• Images you paste, drop, import, or add
• Saved board files
• Exported PNG or PDF files
• Local app preferences, such as appearance and tool settings

This is your content. You control what you create, save, export, or share.

4. Local-First Storage

Boards and app content are stored locally on your Mac unless you choose to save, export, or share them.

SketchNotes Whiteboard stores working board content and app preferences on your Mac. When you save a board, the board is saved as a local file. When you export a board, the exported PNG or PDF is saved where you choose.

The app does not send your board content to myworkingmemory LLC servers.

Local files can still be lost if they are deleted, the app is removed, the device fails, or the files are not backed up. For important work, use Save or Export and keep your own backup copy.

5. Screen Recording and the Screenshot Tool

Screen Recording permission is used only when you intentionally use the Screenshot tool to capture your screen into a board.

SketchNotes Whiteboard includes a Screenshot tool. When you intentionally use that tool, the app may request macOS Screen Recording permission so it can capture a still screenshot and insert that screenshot into your board.

The Screenshot tool is used to create a still image for annotation. The app does not continuously record your screen, does not capture screen video, and does not capture audio through this feature.

The captured screenshot is used so you can mark it up with whiteboard tools such as drawings, text, shapes, arrows, and fills.

Screenshots and images you add may contain private information. Only save or export boards you are comfortable keeping or sharing.

Screenshots added to a board are stored locally as part of the board content and/or exported files if you choose to save or export them.

6. Images and User-Added Files

You may add images or screenshots to a board. These images may contain private, confidential, personal, or third-party information.

You are responsible for deciding what images or screenshots to add, save, export, or share. Review sensitive boards and exported files before sharing them.

7. Purchases and StoreKit

SketchNotes Whiteboard uses a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase for full access. It is not a subscription. There is no recurring charge from this app.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. myworkingmemory LLC does not receive or store your full payment card information.

The app may receive purchase or unlock status from StoreKit so it can determine whether full access has been purchased or restored.

App Store billing, payment processing, refunds, and Apple Account purchase history are handled by Apple under Apple’s own terms and policies.

8. Permissions

Screen Recording

Used only when you intentionally use the Screenshot tool to capture your screen into a board.

File Access

Used when you choose to open, save, import, or export files through macOS file panels or drag-and-drop behavior.

App Store / StoreKit

Used to process and verify the one-time in-app purchase through Apple.

9. Data Sent Off Device

SketchNotes Whiteboard does not send your board content to myworkingmemory LLC servers. The app does not use app-controlled cloud storage for your boards.

StoreKit and App Store purchase operations are handled by Apple. If you choose to save, export, move, upload, or share a board or exported file using macOS or another service, that action is controlled by you and may be governed by the destination or service you choose.

10. Analytics, Tracking, Advertising, and AI Services

SketchNotes Whiteboard does not use app-controlled servers, external AI services, authentication services, social platforms, public user-generated-content feeds, or cloud storage to deliver its core whiteboard functionality.

The app is not designed to track your board content for advertising.

11. Exporting and Sharing

You may export boards as PNG or PDF files. Exported files may include the drawings, typed text, shapes, screenshots, images, arrows, and other board content you created or added.

When you export, save, move, or share a file, you control where that file goes. Review exported files before sharing them, especially if they contain screenshots, private information, or third-party content.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Boards and app data are retained locally on your Mac unless deleted, overwritten, moved, exported, or removed through normal macOS or app behavior.

You can delete board files you saved. Exported PNG or PDF files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them.

Removing the app may remove local app data. Saved or exported files outside the app may remain where you placed them.

13. Children’s Privacy

SketchNotes Whiteboard is not directed to children under 13. myworkingmemory LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children through app-controlled servers.

14. Security and Limitations

SketchNotes Whiteboard is designed to store board content locally on your Mac. No app can guarantee perfect security, permanent availability, or protection from all data loss.

For important work, save your board, export important copies, and maintain backups using your preferred backup method.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we may update the “Last updated” date above.
